The Young and the Restless spoilers, May 18: Sharon gives Phyllis unsolicited advice

Here are your spoilers for The Young and the Restless episode airing Monday, May 18, 2026, as Victor questions Nick's judgment, Adan and Chelsea strategize against a rival, and Sharon gives Phyllis unsolicited advice.

On Monday's show, watch for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) to give Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) some unsolicited advice. Of course, Phyllis likely believes that any advice given to her that she doesn't agree with is unsolicited! But if anyone can help Phyllis, it just may be Sharon. The two are forever bonded from their life and death ordeal from a little over a year ago, when they were kidnapped by deranged Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins).

There's a part of Sharon that, of course, wants her former father-in-law Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to get his company back. And there's also a part of Sharon that truly does want to help Phyllis as both a therapist and a human being. Will Phyllis be open to Sharon wanting to help, or will she simply push her away?

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) survived Las Vegas, where Adam had gone with Nick (Joshua Morrow) to track down Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Adam delved back into his Spider persona, but he didn't let it overwhelm him.

On Monday's show, watch for Adam and Chelsea, stronger than ever, to team up as they strategize against a rival. Is this rival Riza (Tina Casciani)? She and Adam certainly share a dynamic relationship. There was talk of Riza possibly relocating to Genoa City. If that happens, would she continue to be an ally? Or would she become a potential romantic threat to Chelsea?

Nick wants to vanquish Matt Clark from his life and from the lives of his family. He's confirmed to Victor that he is willing to cross a moral and likely illegal line to make that happen. On Monday's show, watch for Victor to question Nick's judgment.

We've seen Nick continue to buy drugs to feed his fix. But is that what's happening? Perhaps Nick's latest dealer is in cahoots with Matt. This dealer may not know that Matt has amnesia and was working on previous orders. This is a bit of a stretch, but we like to think that at some point, Nick is going to get ahead of his addiction and pull a fast one on Matt.

Once Matt gets his memory back, he's going to become as dangerous as ever. Will Nick stop Matt without killing him, or will their inevitable showdown be their last?
