The Young and the Restless Spoilers, May 19: Devon and Mariah discuss forgiveness

Here are your spoilers for The Young and the Restless episode airing Tuesday, May 19, 2026, as Devon and Mariah discuss forgiveness, Daniel tries to broker a truce between Phyllis and Christine, and Patty helps Matt Clark navigate Genoa City.

Forgiveness on The Young and the Restless

Devon (Bryton James) wants to make sure that his son, Dominic (Ethan Ray Clark), remains safe, and he isn't quite sure that Mariah (Camryn Grimes) being in a hospital, instead of jail, is the way to make sure Dom feels secure. Conversely, Devon regards, or has regarded, Mariah as a friend.

Had she not served as a surrogate to Dominic, he wouldn't even be here! But that doesn't give her a pass when it comes to being able to roam freely around Genoa City, so she could potentially take Dominic again if the mood were to strike her.

On Tuesday's episode, watch for Devon and Mariah to discuss forgiveness. Can Devon forgive Mariah for taking his son? Can Mariah forgive herself?

Peacemaker Daniel

Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) has washed his hands of his mother, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). He probably prefers the company of his stepmother, Christine. However, on Tuesday's episode, Daniel is going to try to broker a truce between Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Cricket (Lauralee Bell).

Cricket has pretty much made it clear that she is not going after Phyllis over some personal agenda. Though goodness knows if anyone had a right to carry a grudge against the fiery redhead, it'd be the beautiful blonde district attorney!

Daniel's a smart guy. We imagine he's not going to just put the two women in a room together and walk away. He'll likely realize that she should act as mediator when the two are in the same room. Otherwise, the proposed truce will never get off the ground!

Double trouble

Patty (Stacy Haiduk) is going to take full advantage of stumbling onto Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). On Tuesday's episode, watch for Patty to help Matt Clark navigate Genoa City. Patty has claimed to have reformed, but she likely still knows how to be plenty crafty! She'll likely be able to keep Matt hidden from those who want to bring him to justice!

While Patty's no pushover, even she will have to be careful if and when Matt regains his memories. Right now, the man may not know just how dangerous he can be!

Once Matt remembers who he is, he's going to go back to his plan to destroy the Newmans. Nick already has a plan to kill Matt, making it look like self-defense. But can Matt truly die? The man has survived car crashes, brutal attacks, and let's not forget, we still don't know how Matt survived his "death" from over 25 years ago when he tried to frame Nick for his "murder!"
