The Young and the Restless Spoilers, May 8: Lauren gives Phyllis a warning

Here are your spoilers for The Young and the Restless episode airing on Friday, May 8, 2026, as Lauren gives Phyllis a warning, Nick reveals a secret to Victoria, and Chelsea questions Adam about Riza.

Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) didn't get to where she is today in the business world, as head of Fenmore's department stores, without being business-savvy. She also has had a very successful marriage to her husband, Michael (Christian LeBlanc), by supporting him.

On Friday's episode, watch for Lauren to show both her business acumen and her loyalty to Michael by giving Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) a warning. Phyllis is losing her battle against Victor (Eric Braeden) now that he's framed her with some fake emails. (Sure, let's not forget that Phyllis utilized the AI program for her own selfish means, but technically, she's being framed this time.)

Will Phyllis adhere to her pal's warning? Very few people can get through to the fiery redhead. Nick and Daniel are on that list. Is Lauren, too? Tune in to find out!

The Secret Sharer

On Friday's show, watch for Nick to reveal a secret for Victoria. If it's the same secret (Nick's been addicted to opioids) that Nick revealed to Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), his parents, we can see Joshua Morrow, Nick's portrayer, getting a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2027. The actor has been doing exemplary work throughout this storyline that has Nick torn between wanting to take his longtime enemy, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), and kicking his addiction to pain pills.

Nick and Vicki have shared a very close relationship. Despite recent events that brought Nick and Adam (Mark Grossman) closer together and his fondness for Abby (Melissa Ordway), Nick's strongest sibling dynamic has been with Victoria. They grew up together. They're closer in age, and they have the same parents. Count on an emotional must-see series of scenes when Nick and Vicki encounter each other.

Inquiring minds

One of the many subplots that came out of Adam and Nick's sojourn to Las Vegas to find Matt was Adam reconnecting with Riza (Tina Casciani), the woman he knew when he lived in Sin City as the enigmatic Spider.

Matt and Riza don't appear to be connected anymore, but Riza may still be in the picture. On Friday's show, watch for Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) to question Adam about Riza. Chelsea and Riza weren't exactly at each other's throats when they met in Vegas, but we wouldn't call them candidates for a remake of Laverne & Shirley, either.
