The Young and the Restless star Joshua Morrow has been giving a tour de force lately as Nick Newman. We here at Soap Central, which recently honored the actor with our Performer of the Week for Y&R article, aren't the only ones who think the star is doing a bang-up job! Co-star Michelle Stafford has weighed in with praise.

The Young and the Restless star of (To)Morrow

"Happy Monday!! This scene makes me happy!" Stafford posted on Instagram, showing a scene in which Phyllis and Nick had a big battle. "Josh was soooo good in it! At the end, when he says 'I’ll crush you to dust' (not shown here), I really saw Victor [Eric Braeden] in him. I’m so glad he is getting a chance to shine!! I love this very complicated relationship. ❤️ #YR."

While Morrow isn't active as other performers are on social media, the actor's son, Crew Morrow (Will, The Bold and the Beautiful), responded to Stafford's post with a high-five emoji, "🙌."

The clip that Stafford posted contains a heated exchange between the two. Cane "is going down for this hard," Nick blasted Phyllis after he visited her on Cane's (Billy Flynn) train. "And so are you. I promise you that fall is coming."

Take the "l" out of "lover" -- and it's over on The Young and the Restless

Phyllis, not unsympathetic to Nick's physical pain, didn't let her feelings for her ex deter her from her mission with Cane. "I'm sorry to break it to you," Phyllis said. "I'm really sorry, but the fact is, Cane and I have won. We win. And all of your finger-wagging and insults toward me isn't gonna change that we are taking over Newman."

"I don't even know who I'm talking to anymore," Nick marveled. "I mean, I know that we're not as close as we were in the past, obviously. But I want you to ask yourself, honestly, other than your children, who knows you better than me?

"No one," Nick hastened to respond for his former videogame-playing partner. "No one. You know that you could ask me for anything and I would do anything for you, and this is how you reward me? You stab me in the back!"

Did Nick on any level reach Phyllis with his impassioned plea? Or will she continue her quest to work with Cane and bring down all the power players in Genoa City? Stay tuned to find out!
