The Young and the Restless star Tracey Bregman celebrates 43 years as Lauren Fenmore Baldwin

The Young and the Restless star Tracey Bregman subscribes to the adage that "time flies when you're having fun." The actress is celebrating over four decades in her iconic role as Lauren Fenmore Baldwin in Genoa City!

"Ummm where did 43 years go?!!!" Bregman rhetorically asked in an Instagram post. "I’ve had the time of my life and still look forward to every day like it’s my first. I love what I do and love everyone I get the great pleasure to work with @youngandrestlesscbs

From Teen Terror to Heroine

Bregman's Lauren began as a "mean girl" before morphing into a heroine. Initially, Lauren reveled with glee as she taunted Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland). The two women battled over Brad Carlton (Don Diamont, now Bill on The Bold and the Beautiful).

Once Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) entered Lauren's life, it was never the same. Sheila kidnapped Lauren's baby, Dylan, and passed him off as Scott's (Peter Barton) son. The truth came out, sending Sheila to Los Angeles to begin a new life. Lauren followed and ended up putting down some roots in sunny Southern California.

In time, she moved back to Genoa City. There, she fell in love with Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and the two have endured as one of the show's more solid couples. Lauren and Michael have had their battles. She fears for her husband's life every time he goes back to work for volatile Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
