The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of May 4 to May 8, 2026, are a solid reminder that the action, drama, and romance never take a holiday in Genoa City! Watch for a surprise return from a well-known villain, business deals, and setbacks to occur as the Newmans, Abbotts, Winters, and other families struggle to reach their goals, find fulfillment, and obtain happiness!
The Welcome Matt

Is anyone surprised that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) is going to resurface in Genoa City after being shown alive in Friday's episode? Well, he is! The bad penny keeps turning up, no matter how many times he's thwarted! Watch for Sharon (Sharon Case) to interrogate Sienna (Tamara Braun) about her past. Part of Sienna's recent past was her claim that she had killed Matt. Was Sienna being deceitful on purpose, or did she truly believe that she had rid the world of Matt Clark? Her heartfelt plea to run away with Matt and start over, if he spared the Newmans their lives, might have been more than a ploy!
And in this corner
The war between Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) continues to play out as Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) each reject an opportunity to get back together. Victor doesn't seem interested in making nice with any of his ex-wives, either, as he's going to make no apology to Diane.
There's a part of Jack's wife that knows he's not responsible for Jack turning to Patty (Stacy Haiduk). She believes on some level that Jack was kidnapped and wasn't responsible for ending up in bed with his ex, but she just hasn't been able to go there in her mind -- not yet.
There are rivalries galore, too, as Christine (Lauralee Bell) backs Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) into a corner, and Jack sets boundaries with Patty (Stacy Haiduk). Malcolm (Shemar Moore) may have found a match to help him with his aplastic anemia in Cane (Billy Flynn), but Lily is going to have her attempts to help her biological father thwarted! That's not going to stop Cane, however, from making a promise to his ex-wife!
