The Young and the Restless is headed into a week of suspicious minds, words of wisdom, and the return of Patty Williams! Spoilers for the week of Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, 2026, have Diane being suspicious of Kyle's new game plan, Nikki sharing wisdom with Nick, and Matt reconnecting with Patty!
Suspicious Minds
Diane (Susan Walters) works hard at not being a helicopter mom to her son, Kyle (Michael Mealor). But that doesn't mean she's not going to check in on what he's doing. This week, watch for Diane to be suspicious of Kyle's new game plan.
What is that plan? Could Kyle be warming up to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to use her as a pawn in the Abbott/Newman feud? Does he have genuine feelings for her? Could both be possible?
Kyle trusts his mother implicitly. But that doesn't mean he'll tip his hand, especially if he's playing the long game with Vicki. But if he breaks her heart, won't that just incur Victor's (Eric Braeden) wrath even more?
Nikki Knows Best
Nick (Joshua Morrow) wants nothing more than to be rid of his addiction to opioids and get back with his family so he can protect them from Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) all night. But kicking an addiction doesn't happen overnight. Sometimes, it takes a long time to get back on the wagon.
This week, watch for Nikki to give Nick some words of wisdom. Who better than Nikki would know about getting an addiction under control? She started sucking down vodka like it was going away forever after she injured her back when Nick was just a toddler. Married to Jack at the time, Nikki preferred being sloshed to dealing with the back pain. Surgery did the trick, but Nikki still had an addiction to keep under control.
Patty's Return

It's hard to keep a bad woman down! That's what Y&R viewers are going to find out this week when Stacy Haiduk (Patty Williams) pops up on screen again. There were references to her being locked up following her attack on Jack (Peter Bergman) and being locked away for good!
But that doesn't mean she's leaving our screens. Watch for Matt to reconnect with Patty. The two had formed a fast alliance after Patty was on the loose earlier this year. Despite conspiring with Victor and getting a big payoff from him, Patty was captured. What does Matt have to say to Patty as he continues his path of attempted redemption? Stay tuned!
