Y&R Hot Plots July 13-17: A Fresh Start for Victor and Nikki

Victor and Nikki haven't been apart this time around all that long in the grand scheme of things on The Young and the Restless. But it's been agony for viewers watching these two fight when everyone knows there's so much love between them. Watch for a welcome change in their dynamic to take place the week of Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17, 2026!

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) showed that he wasn't all that bad when he brought Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) back into their home, following her surgery to correct her blindness. They're not out of the woods yet, however. Mid-week, Victor is going to accuse Nikki of betrayal. What's going to cause Victor to do this? Has Nikki sided with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), which would certainly make Victor feel threatened and betrayed?

Or perhaps, it's a misunderstanding between them. Later in the week, Victor and Nikki are going to agree to a fresh start. Does that mean she'll be joining Victor back in his bedroom, or will they wait before taking that big step?

All About the Abbotts

The threat of Patty appears to have been neutralized -- for now. But that doesn't mean the Abbotts aren't embroiled in drama! Watch for Diane (Susan Walters) to sit by Jack's (Peter Bergman) bedside as he recovers from his stabbing.

Diane may not be out of the woods yet. Sure, the doctors gave her treatment to counter the shot of digitalis that Patty had given Diane, but she should probably be monitored for a while just to be safe!

Patty's not out of the picture. Watch for Kyle to visit her and attempt to bargain with her. Don't the police finally have enough evidence on Patty to send her away for good? They may not. It could be up to Kyle to take the steps necessary to make sure Patty never hurts Jack or Diane -- or any Abbott -- ever again.

Remembering Cole Howard

There's other heartfelt drama going on in Genoa City this week. Watch for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and her daughter, Claire (Hayley Erin), to pay tribute to the late Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), who died just a little over a year ago.

Claire was cheated out of being raised by her parents after her Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) kidnapped her from the hospital shortly after her birth. Cole and Vicki were led to believe that their daughter, then called "Eve" after Jordan's sister and Cole's late mother, had died.

A few years ago, Eve, now called Claire, returned to Genoa City, believing that her family never wanted her. Fortunately, the truth came out. Claire learned that Jordan had lied to her. The Newmans forgave Claire and embraced her into the family.

Claire and Victoria had some happy times with Cole before he contracted Legionnaire's disease and perished in the hospital.
