Y&R Hot Plots June 22 - 26: Victor Tests Claire, Patty Threatens Jack, and Nate Is Recruited

The Newmans, the Abbotts, Nate Hastings, Stephanie Simmons, and others headed for lots of drama and intrigue this week on The Young and the Restless. Spoilers for the week of June 22 reveal that characters are going to face intriguing developments!

Victor Stays in Control

The Newman clan pretty much forgave Claire (Hayley Erin) for her evil actions, spurred on by her Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk), but that doesn't mean she has the clan's total trust. Watch for Victor (Eric Braeden) to test his granddaughter's loyalty this week.

Is Victor concerned about Claire reverting to her wicked ways, or will he demand that she put the Newmans first when it comes to family honor and boardroom battles? Perhaps Victor is going to want Claire to confide in him what she may know about Nikki's (Melody Thomas Scott) health?

Later in the week, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will want her mom to confide in her dad about her condition. Will Nikki open up to Victor, or will foolish pride stand in her way?

Pattycakes

Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) appears to be in the driver's seat still with Jack (Peter Bergman). As long as Jack doesn't know where his captive wife, Diane (Susan Walters), is, he's at Patty's mercy. Or is he? This week, watch for Jack to weigh his options when it comes to dealing with Patty.

He wants desperately to find Diane, but Jack knows just how dangerous Patty can be. Traci (Beth Maitland) reminded us that Patty's actions led to the drowning death of her daughter, Colleen. Lives are at stake here, and Jack has to play this just right, or he might never see Diane again!

By week's end, watch for Jack and Kyle (Michael Mealor) to take a gamble with Patty. Hopefully, it pays off with Diane's safe return!

Medical Milestone

Soaps are known for having characters who are doctors on their shows, so that those characters can jump in and help out with medical dramas! Curiously, Y&R has been without a regular physician for some time, ever since Nate (Sean Dominic) gave up medicine after suffering an injury in a fight with Devon (Bryton James).

The return of Vivica A. Fox, as Dr. Stephanie Simmons, a role she first played back in the mid-1990s, has changed all that. Not only does it appear that Stephanie is sticking around as Genoa City Memorial's new chief of staff, but there are hints that Nate might be stepping back into medicine, too!

Watch for Stephanie to recruit Nate for a special project. Might that somehow be tied to Nikki's health? If Nate were to play a role in saving Nikki, then Victoria and the rest of the Newman clan would owe him a huge emotional debt!
