Sally and Billy aren't the only ones preparing for a new life on The Young and the Restless. Matt Clark had every intention of leaving town, but life has a way of surprising people. Soap Central has Y&R spoilers and hot plots for the week of Monday, October 8, through Friday, October 9, 2026, courtesy of the Y&R publicity team, that show life is never predictable in Genoa City!
The Unwelcome Matt Clark

This week, watch for Matt Clark to get a rude awakening. He was all set to leave town with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) and say goodbye to Genoa City for good. However, Matt may not get to execute that plan. Spoiler photos show Matt bruised and in a bed -- is it a hospital bed or a bed in a sanitarium? Where's Patty?
There's been a lot of discussion about Matt Clark in recent months. Would he reside on the Newman estate? Would his relationship with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) turn into something that could go the distance?
One question that Matt hasn't addressed is when will the law catch up with him? The Newmans and Phyllis may feel differently about Matt because he saved Nick's (Joshua Morrow) life when he had a heart attack in Victor's office. While a judge may take that into account during sentencing, Matt should still have to answer to authorities for his many crimes!
Matt may have had good intentions when he opted to leave town with Patty, but he may have bitten off more than he could chew by aligning himself with Paul's (Doug Davidson) unstable sister.
When Billy Met Sally

Forget about the first year of marriage being the hardest! Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally's (Courtney Hope) union is having problems before they even tie the knot. Sally's invited Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) to be a part of her big day. This has raised the question as to whether or not Adam (Mark Grossman) should come to the ceremony.
Billy and Adam mix like oil and water, as Adam is responsible for the death of Billy's daughter, Delia. Sally is hoping her bachelorette party is going to go well. Photo spoilers reveal that her sister, Coco (Ashley Campbell), is going to be there for the festivities. Will she share with Sally's friends in Genoa City what her sister was like when they lived in Los Angeles?
The Bachelor

Adam may be coming to Sally and Billy's wedding, but photo spoilers don't reveal that he's attending Billy's bachelor party. Rather than head off to Las Vegas or New York City, the groom has decided to have a small gathering with friends and family, including his brother, Jack (Peter Bergman), at the Abbott mansion.
Later in the week, Billy's going to find himself in the hot seat. Who is going to grill Billy and what are they going to ask him? By the end of the week, watch for Billy and Sally's relationship to be tested.
