Y&R Hot Plots September 14-18: Support, Surprises, and Secrets

Favors and secrets make the world go around. That's what characters on The Young and the Restless are going to be reminded of during the week of Monday, September 14, through Friday, September 18, 2026. Hot plots for the week have Sally asking Adam for something, Jack trying to trap Patty, and Phyllis supporting Daniel's new endeavor.

Two Steps Ahead of Patty

Patty (Stacy Haiduk) tried to make an ally out of Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) in Genoa City, but that union didn't last very long. Recently, Matt went to see Patty in prison, hoping that she could provide some insights into his psyche. This week, watch for Matt to take a different approach with her as he tries to turn the tables on Patty. Will it work, or will he make an enemy out of her?

Jack's going to try to set a trap for Patty, but that might not work out too well for him. Towards the end of the week, Jack and Diane (Susan Walters) are going to receive an ominous message from Patty. Is she going to try to lure the couple into a trap? Does she still want to be the only woman in Jack's life?

"A" for Adam

Sally (Courtney Hope) is going to ask Adam (Mark Grossman) for a favor. The two have quite a history, and they might still be together if their daughter had survived. Sally still feels that Adam is someone she can reach out to in times of need. Will Adam be able to grant Sally the favor she's going to ask of him? Or will he think that Sally's asking for something that's not in her best interests?

Later in the week, watch for Chelsea to comfort Sally. If there's anyone who knows what Sally's going through, it's Chelsea. They've both been scrappers who have had to fight for what they want in life. They've also loved the same men -- Adam and Billy (Jason Thompson).

However, Sally has reason not to trust Chelsea. They've been competitors in the media wars in Genoa City. Sally may want to open up to Chelsea, but can she truly trust her?

New Beginnings

Daniel (Michael Graziadei) has not minced words with his mother, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), when she's pulled various shenanigans. Not too long ago, Phyllis faked her death while in cahoots with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). Daniel did his best to give his mother another shot, but then she got into bed with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and swiped his AI program.

Then, Phyllis used that Artificial Intelligence program to take over Newman Enterprises. Daniel didn't take kindly to that, and he found the whole matter a little too close to the Jeremy Stark drama to give his mother yet another chance.

Phyllis, however, has never stopped loving Daniel. Watch for the redhead to support her son in his new endeavor towards the end of the week. Will Phyllis' support of Daniel cause him to rethink letting her back into his life?
