In honor of Labor Day, characters on The Young and the Restless are going to be working overtime to get what they want. Hot plots for the week of September 7 to 11, 2026, place the Newmans, Abbotts, Phyllis, and Matt Clark deep in conflict!
Newman V. Abbott

The Newman/Abbott war is back on in Genoa City! Perhaps it never truly ended! Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) aren't at war, however. They're getting closer than ever! Watch for the two to give into temptation as the week kicks off. Later, Victor (Eric Braeden) will make a power move to build his empire.
Audra (Zuleyka Silver), for a change, has the power position over the Newmans, specifically, Victoria. Watch for her to strike a deal with Victoria. She's not likely to be in this position again in the near future so watch for Audra to ask for more than just money. Will she get it?
Audra's doing more than giving orders to Victoria this week. Watch for her to give Billy (Jason Thompson) a reality check! Billy may have to worry about more than Audra this week. Victor is going to initiate a revenge plot against the Abbotts! Is Billy a primary target? Or does the mustached mogul want to take out the whole clan?
Persistent Patty

You can't keep a good man — or a bad woman — down on Y&R! Watch for Patty (Stacy Haiduk) to emerge from the shadows. Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) are going to find their trip going from bad to worse. Does that mean Patty will track them all the way down to their vacation locale to try to make their lives miserable once more?
Jack was taken captive earlier this year and put on a yacht with Patty, but this time he's not going to be the one caught in a vulnerable spot. At least, he doesn't want to be! Watch for Jack to set a trap for Patty. Will she fall for it? Patty's determined to get even with Jack, but, at the same time, she's also vulnerable to the Abbott heir. If anyone's going to stand a chance at tricking Patty, it's going to be Jack!
Paging ACME Products

Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) have concocted a scheme to have the citizens of Genoa City see him in a new life. Might people see through their act, however? Watch for Matt to share his plans for redemption with Phyllis. Will bouncing the idea off the fiery redhead help crystalize his plans? If anyone knows something about scheming, it's Phyllis!
Later in the week, however, Matt is going to give Phyllis some mixed signals. Phyllis has stood by Matt when everyone else has been prepared to write him off. Is he going to test her patience beyond the point of no return?
Are Victoria and Kyle playing with fire? Are Phyllis and Matt about to do something stupid? Sound off in the comments.
