The Abbott and Newman saga continues to take on new dimensions on The Young and the Restless, as spoilers for the Thursday, August 26, 2026, episode indicate. Watch for Victoria and Kyle's heated rivalry to take an interesting turn. Also, Lily will challenge Billy, and Adam is going to question Phyllis' connection to Matt Clark.

Victoria and Kyle Take a Turn

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is a Newman, and Kyle (Michael Mealor) is an Abbott, but don't mistake them for their fathers! These two have been getting along swimmingly, and on Thursday's show, watch for their heated rivalry to take an interesting turn.

Would Y&R truly go there with these two? Kyle has dated both Vicki's daughter, Claire (Hayley Erin), and her niece, Summer (Allison Lanier), whom he was actually married to!

But the ramifications are palpable, to say the least, should these two connect on a personal level. Victor (Eric Braeden) will have a field day if his daughter ends up hooking up with Kyle. Victor told Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that he wouldn't let his hatred of Jack outweigh his love for her, but he may not feel the same way about Kyle!

Victor tried to pay Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to seduce Kyle away from Claire because he thought he wasn't good enough for her. A Kyle/Vicki connection will confirm his suspicions!

From Beau to Boardroom

A long time ago, Lily (Christel Khalil) and Billy (Jason Thompson) were involved. That may not help Lily as much as she'd like now that Billy is angling to take control of Chancellor Industries.

On Thursday's episode, Lily is going to challenge Billy. What form will this challenge take? Lily might appeal to Billy's humanistic side. Surely, his taking over Chancellor Industries will ripple into the lives of hundreds of employees at the company.

But Billy may not be talked out of going after what he wants. He has attached his self-worth to running Chancellor Industries. Billy's got blinders on in this matter. Lily has got her work cut out for her!

Adam's Interrogation

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) sees a kindred spirit in Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). While she doesn't see anything wrong with her relationship with Matt, others may not feel the same way. On Thursday's episode, watch for Adam (Mark Grossman) to question Phyllis' connection to Matt.

Adam's past is far from blemish-free, but as Nick (Joshua Morrow) is still in rehab, Adam may feel it's his place to watch out for members of his family from threats. And he may regard Matt as a threat, given his past actions! Sure, Matt has proclaimed that he just wants to live his life in peace without being attacked. But he's also capable of standing up for himself if he feels that he's being disrespected.
