Devon and Abby have been at odds over Mariah, but he may be finding an ally in his mother-in-law, Ashley, on The Young and the Restless. According to spoilers for the episode airing on Friday, July 23, 2026, Devon finds common ground with Ashley. Also, Billy and Sally discover that Jill is keeping a secret, while Cane strikes a hard bargain.
My Mother-in-Law, My Ally

Devon (Bryton James) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) have been at odds over Mariah (Camryn Grimes), who kidnapped their son, Dominic (Ethan Ray Clark). Dom was found safely, but Devon wants to make sure that this will never happen again. Abby doesn't want it to happen again either, but she's not sure that Mariah has to go to prison to make that happen -- or rather, not happen!
On Friday's episode, watch for Devon to find common ground with Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Does this mean Ashley will side against her daughter and agree that Mariah needs to be under lock and key for years to come? Or are the two going to find common ground on another matter?
Jill's Got a Secret

Jill (Lauren Koslow) returned to Genoa City recently to get Billy (Jason Thompson) and Cane (Billy Flynn) to mend fences. She didn't see much progress with Billy, though. He still has serious issues related to his self-worth and how it ties in with his mother (he feels) not believing in him.
However, it's clear from this last visit that Billy still cares about his mother deeply, and he doesn't want to see her pass from this mortal plane with any animosity between them.
On Friday's show, watch for Billy and Sally to discover a secret. Is the secret tied to her health? Or might it have to do with business?
Cane Is Able

Cane (Billy Flynn) amassed quite a business as the enigmatic Aristotle Dumas, the identity he used to also lure the business elite of Genoa City to his estate in Nice, France, last summer. Three men -- Chance (Conner Floyd), Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers), and Carter (Vincent Stalba) -- died, but Cane emerged unscathed and faced no legal charges, despite being the mastermind behind keeping people captive for what seemed like weeks. Clearly, he's savvy to have pulled that off!
On Friday's show, watch for Cane to strike a hard bargain. Is he going to play hardball with Billy in an effort to get his stepbrother to get along with him? Is Cane going to play tough with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), his former ally in the business world?
Or is Cane going to drive a hard bargain with Lily (Christel Khalil) in the hopes of solidifying their reunion in the process? How might Lily respond if that's the case?
