Y&R Spoilers July 2: Victor Plays His Cards Close to the Vest

Victor Newman didn't get to where he is in life by letting people in on his plans. Spoilers for The Young and the Restless for Thursday, July 2, 2026, have Victor playing his cards close to his vest. Also, Stephanie and Nate discuss his past, while Nick and Noah aren't buying what Matt Clark is selling.

On Thursday's show, watch for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to play his cards close to his vest. Does this mean he's not going to let Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) know just how far he went to make sure that she had the best medical care? Or is Victor being tight-lipped over his decision to let Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) stay on his grounds while he attempts to employ Matt against what may be a greater threat from Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

Does Victor have a secret plan to vanquish both Matt and Cane? Is he letting Matt have a false sense of security? Nikki blasted Victor about his alliance with Matt before she was hospitalized. Might Victor realize Nikki was right all along?

General Restless

Might Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) become Dr. Nate Hastings once again? On Thursday's show, watch for Stephanie (Vivica A. Fox) and Nate to discuss his past. Even if Nate can't perform surgery due to the injuries to his hand that occurred from Devon's (Bryton James) attack, perhaps Nate can still be a doctor?

We might see Nate have a miraculous surgery that will enable him to perform surgery himself. Or Stephanie may offer Nate a job at Genoa City Memorial Hospital. If any of these scenarios unfold, we may start to see more medical-based storylines on Y&R. Anything's possible!

Doubting Nick and Noah

On Thursday's show, watch for Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Noah (Lucas Adams) to doubt what Matt Clark is selling. Matt may (or may not) have turned over a new leaf as he now regards his past behavior as vile (because it was!). But Matt may also feel that he only still has his freedom because he's of use to Victor.

If Matt felt his freedom was in jeopardy, then he might start to feed the Newmans some malarky. Is this what's going to happen? Is this why Noah and Nick are going to grow suspicious? Stay tuned to find out!
