Lily and Cane turned a page after he donated bone marrow to save Malcolm on The Young and the Restless. But there's no guarantee of smooth sailing for the duo. Spoilers for Thursday, July 9, 2026, have Lily seeing a new side to Cane. Also, Jill is pushing Billy to resolve their issues, and Kyle is taking matters into his own hands to protect Jack and Diane.
Memory Lane

On Thursday's show, watch for Lily (Christel Khalil) to see a new side to Cane (Billy Flynn). Months ago, Lily told Cane to keep his rose and never bother her again after he made one too many attempts to get back into her life. She even left town to help send her message home.
Times change. Cane got tested to see if he'd be a bone marrow match for Malcolm (Shemar Moore). He had no blood relationship with Malcolm, but Cane was a match anyway. Lily was over the moon that her dad was going to live, and she opened her heart up to Cane. He's not so bad after all!
Lily further showed her gratitude to Cane by giving him the chance to run Chancellor Industries. But will Lily change her mind once she sees a new side to Cane? Or will her admiration for him deepen?
Jill, Be Nimble

Lauren Koslow may not be staying much longer as Jill Foster Abbott, but that doesn't mean her work is done by any means! On Tuesday's show, watch for Jill to push Billy (Jason Thompson), her son, to resolve his issues.
Billy's got it all going on for him. He's going to become a father again, and the mother of his unborn child, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), is going to marry him! But Billy is still grappling with issues of self-worth. He's competing with Cane in his mother's eyes.
Jill may want to get back to England soon. Will she stay longer if Billy needs more time to get his act together?
Kyle, Be Quick

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) must be incredibly frustrated that his being Diane's (Susan Walters) alibi in his father Jack's (Peter Bergman) stabbing isn't enough for the police. First, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) kidnaps Diane and expects her plan to mess with Diane's mind to work with the help of her cohort, Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns).
Then, Patty works her way back into the Abbott mansion. This takes Jack and Kyle away from running Jabot Cosmetics to deal with rescuing Diane. While Kyle helped rescue his mom, Patty viciously (is there any other kind?) attacked Jack with a knife, leaving him fighting for his life.
On Thursday's show, watch for Kyle to take matters into his own hands to protect Diane and Jack. Does this mean Patty could be in danger? Tune in to find out!
