The bad news for Nikki Newman is that her condition is going to worsen. But the good news for her and for fans of The Young and the Restless is that Victor is going to go to great lengths to help her. Meanwhile, Jack does the same to help Diane, his missing wife.
Love (Hopefully) Wins
No one is safe from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) when he feels crossed. He ordered Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) out of their home about six months ago after they clashed one too many times over Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Nikki has marveled at Victor letting villain Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) live on their estate, given his past actions.
What if Matt remembers how much he enjoyed being evil? That's what Nikki has pointed out to her estranged ex. Nothing is changing Victor's mind once his mind has been made up.
But maybe, just maybe, Nikki's illness and mass that could lead to death or blindness is the thing that will bring Victor around to being the man whom Nikki knows he truly is, deep down.
On Thursday's show, watch for Victor to go to great lengths to help Nikki. Does this mean he'll bring in a specialist? Will he fund Genoa City Memorial Hospital with enough resources to cure his wife? Might Victor actually end his feud with Jack Abbott to show Nikki that he cares more about loving her than hating Jack?
House Call
Victor doesn't have the market cornered when it comes to caring about his wife. On Thursday's episode of Y&R, watch for Jack to go to great lengths to help Diane (Susan Walters), his wife, who has been kidnapped by Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) and is being analyzed against her will by Dr. Laurence Markham.
Diane is having to perform for the bad doctor by playing along with their therapy sessions. How long can Diane keep Dr. Markham believing that she is a willing patient?
Jack is not a man without resources. He's been playing Patty, letting her move into the mansion, and getting Traci (Beth Maitland) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) to play along with his scheme to lull Patty into a false sense of security.
