Adam Newman rarely hesitates to speak his mind on The Young and the Restless. Spoilers for the episode airing on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, hint that's going to be true as the Newman heir grills Phyllis Summers about her latest venture. Also, Sharon will be forced to make a tough decision while Victor keeps tabs on Nick.
The Daily Grill

On Wednesday's episode, watch for Adam (Mark Grossman) to grill Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) about her latest venture. Phyllis, as we know, has gotten back into the hotel business. Previously, she owned the Grand Phoenix, the hotel where many Genoa City residents visited. The lobby was a hubbub of activity with numerous characters coming and going and having showdowns.
Now, Phyllis, thanks to Cane (Billy Flynn) selling it to her, is the owner of the Genoa City Athletic Club. While the Grand Phoenix was popular, the GCAC is the place to see and be seen in Genoa City.
Characters make entrances in grand (no pun intended) soap opera style once they enter the GCAC through the revolving door and step down the stairs into the dining area. There are rooms in which characters reside for either the long or short term. And there's a weight room, though we haven't seen that set too often in recent years. There's also the jazz lounge underneath the restaurant that's named after the late, great Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John).
What's Adam going to grill Phyllis about exactly? Perhaps he'll want to make sure that she doesn't abuse her ownership of the popular establishment so that Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally's (Courtney Hope) wedding runs smoothly.
Father Knows Best

On Wednesday, watch for Victor (Eric Braeden) to keep tabs on Nick (Joshua Morrow). Forget about "helicopter parenting," the great Victor Newman does that with his private jet! How will Nick respond to his father keeping an eye on him? Nick is anxious to regain his independence. He may or may not accept his father's influence in his life!
Sharon's Song

Also on Wednesday, watch for Sharon to be forced into making a tough decision. We know Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) has returned to Genoa City, and he has snuck into her home. Is he going to insist that Sharon accept the fact that he's changed? Or has Matt Clark changed? Is Sharon in danger?
Matt has a history of violent attacks on the Newman clan, especially Sharon and her immediate family. What tough call will Sharon have to make? Is she going to have to decide whether or not to turn Matt into the authorities or let him walk out of her life (hopefully) forever?
Sharon has been known to take matters into her own hands to protect both herself and her family. She took out Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) when he threatened Faith (Reylynn Caster). Will she take similar action with Matt?
Why is Adam going to grill Phyllis? What lengths will Victor go to with Nick? Is Sharon going to be safe? Sound off in the comments below!
