Victor: Y&R Spoilers September 28: Phyllis and Cane Share Common Ground

Phyllis and Cane’s relationship never stood a chance on The Young and the Restless, but that doesn’t mean they still don’t bump into each other. Spoilers and teasers sent to Soap Central from Y&R's p.r. department, reveal that the two are going to reconnect over something they have in common on the Monday, September 28, 2026, episode. Also, Victoria and Kyle try to keep their union under wraps while Victor gives Matt Clark his marching orders.

Phyllis and Cane, Take Two

For a hot minute or two, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Cane (Billy Flynn) looked like they were going to take over the world. They parted ways when Phyllis stole Cane’s AI program and used it to take over Newman Enterprises. Trust was lost. Especially after Phyllis used chloroform to take out Cane so she could get the program.

On Monday’s episode, however, watch for Phyllis and Cane to find common ground. Are they both interested in taking down a common enemy? Phyllis should feel some gratitude towards Victor, as he gave her Arabesque, Cane’s old company. Cane doesn’t have a current gripe with the mustached mogul. What’s the common ground on which Cane and Phyllis will find themselves?

Victor’s Rule

Victor had his reasons for keeping Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) in town. He wanted to use him to spy on Cane Ashby. But, as we noted above, Cane isn’t a threat to the Newman clan. So, now Victor is going to want Matt to get lost. His entire family has wanted Victor to get rid of Matt.

On Monday’s episode, perhaps that’s what’s going to happen. Watch for Victor to give Matt Clark his marching orders. Matt has gone back and forth about leaving Genoa City. Perhaps Victor wanting Matt gone will prompt him to finally make a final decision. However, Matt wants respect from people. He’s a changed man, after all! But Victor's demanding that Matt leave could just prompt him to stay!

Secrets and Lies

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) didn’t set out to become lovers. They were cordial with one another despite the animosity between their fathers, Victor and Jack (Peter Bergman).

They’re not fully sure where their current “friends with benefits” situation is going, but they are determined, for now, to keep their affair under wraps. Will they be discovered? The one person that they need to keep this from is Victor. He’s going to react strongly when he learns of his daughter’s new love interest!
