Nick (Joshua Morrow) wants to get well so he can be there for his family. Is his new friend Marie (Jade Harlow) the answer when it comes to regaining his sobriety? Or even Phyllis (Michelle Stafford)? Maybe his parents, Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), are the ones who will help Nick get sober. Maybe Nick has to do it himself!

On Thursday's episode, watch for Nick's past and present to collide. It looks like his past will be represented by Adam (Mark Grossman) and his present by Marie! How will Nick's brother respond to his new friend?

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) sees something in Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) that no one else does. Perhaps Phyllis sees part of herself in Matt, but she's never committed the horrible crimes that Matt has. Against Nick's advice, Phyllis continues to support Matt. On Thursday's episode, watch for Phyllis to keep a secret.

Matt's on thin ice in Genoa City. Nobody except Phyllis appears willing to give him the time of day. What is the secret that Phyllis is going to keep for Matt, and if it's exposed, will Matt be able to forgive Phyllis if she's the one who leaks it?

Daniel's Song

Last year, Daniel (Michael Graziadei) was grieving the loss of his beloved, Heather (Vail Bloom), who was taken from him in a gruesome way. He started to take up the guitar to have something to focus on, and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) was looking to fill up her time, too.

Then, Tessa was the one who needed emotional support. Her wife, Mariah (Camryn Grimes), had done something unspeakable on a business trip with a mystery man (Michael Swan). He didn't die, but Mariah felt like she had done something so heinous that it was beyond forgivable.

Tessa begged Mariah to let her in and give her a chance to live up to their marriage vows, being there for each other in good times and in bad. Mariah pushed Tessa away time and time again. She went off to get psychiatric help, but that didn't seem to help. In fact, Mariah just got worse.

She later kidnapped Dominic (Ethan Ray Clark), thinking that she was doing the right thing. She wasn't. After getting caught and checking in for more psychiatric care, Mariah finally got her act together. Tessa took her back.

On Thursday's episode, watch for Daniel to clear the air with Mariah. Is he going to let her know just what he sacrificed so that she could reclaim her happy life with Tessa and their daughter, Aria?
