Nick and Marie agree not to save each other, but that agreement might be out the window on The Young and the Restless now that her husband, Logan, has turned up dead! Spoilers for the episode airing on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, have Nick reaching out to Michael for legal advice. Also, Nikki embraces a new role, and Chelsea is blindsided by Adam's decision-making.
Legal Advice

Marie (Jade Harlow) was taken away by the police after she apparently killed her abusive husband, Logan Kirkland (Tommy Walker), in self-defense. Protecting herself or not, Marie's going to need some legal help. On Wednesday's episode, watch for Nick (Joshua Morrow) to reach out to Michael (Christian LeBlanc) for legal advice.
Michael's as close as you can get to the Newman family without being a blood relative. Victor (Eric Braeden) treats him like a son, almost. And Michael officiated at Victor and Nikki's (Melody Thomas Scott) recent vow renewal ceremony.
Nick might not even have to put Michael on retainer to get some advice to help Marie. A skilled litigator, Michael would be a champion for Marie if her case goes to court. He may be able to convince authorities that Marie stopped Logan in self-defense. If she hadn't killed him, he very well might have killed her!
New Beginnings for Nikki

On Wednesday's episode, watch for Nikki to embrace a new role. She is no longer at Chancellor Industries, so she's available to take on a new endeavor and Victoria knows it. That's why she offered her mother the opportunity to work at Vibrante. Does Nikki now accept the offer?
Victor will likely want to weigh in on Nikki's next move. He's deeply protective. Of course, that's a nicer way of saying he's a "helicopter spouse" (yeah, we just made that term up). But, seriously, Victor likes to know that Nikki is safe. Victor's going to want to weigh in on his wife's whereabouts. If he doesn't approve of her next move, you can pretty much be guaranteed some conflict and drama!
The Blind Side

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) are more often than not on the same page. However, on Wednesday's episode, watch for Chelsea to be caught off guard by Adam's actions.
Chelsea is very concerned about the next generation. She wants Connor, her son with Adam, and Johnny, the son she gave birth to, fathered by Billy (and being raised by Vicki and Billy), to get along. But that might not happen if the Abbott and Newman war continues into the next generation.
Will Adam and Chelsea's relationship endure his latest move? Chelsea's the type of person who plays the long game, due in no small part to her con artist past. She'll hang in there with Adam, provided what he does to her isn't too harmful.
Should Nikki just retire and relax? Is Nick truly falling for Marie? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
