On The Young and the Restless, Billy Abbott barely had a second to savor his return to the Chancellor building before Jack arrived and Nikki made these bold demands.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

I'll just say this, I wish Billy bolted the door behind him, and just took a moment to relish in the glow of getting exactly what he wanted. But it would appear that against all odds depsite Billy achieving his dream of re-acquiring Chancellor, the show was not going to let him enjoy it. It was supposed to be a moment of triumph with Billy (Jason Thompson) finally stepping back into the halls he has fought so hard to reclaim, but the Abbott family radar is apparently more sensitive than ever because Jack (Peter Bergman) waltzed into the room almost immediately, and it left me wondering exactly how he managed to time his arrival so perfectly.

Honestly, I think Billy can’t even breathe in his own workspace without a family member checking his pulse or hovering over his shoulder like they’re waiting for him to trip. Because they are, everyone sits and waits for the exact moment Billy falls, so they can be there to call him a loser, everyone, family, supposed lovers, and of course, mumbles and the rest of clan Newman.
The real audacity, however, came from Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and I just have to say that she showed up expecting to have a private moment in "her" office as if the recent history between her and Billy had been wiped clean, which is just so typical of her.

It is a bit rich for Nikki to expect professional courtesies or personal space from a man she has spent a significant amount of time undermining and I feel like if she really wanted a friendly relationship she should have reconsidered her treatment of him before the power shifted because you can't treat someone like dirt and then act surprised when they won't open the door for you.
Let the Newmans suffer please

The fan base is definitely not siding with the Newmans on this one and on X the consensus is that Nikki’s sense of entitlement has finally hit a wall with one viewer noting that the Newmans act as if the entire city belongs to them by divine right while another posted in a prominent Facebook group that they were "cheering for Billy to stand his ground and give Nikki nothing." There is a clear feeling among the audience that whatever misfortune falls upon the Newman family is long overdue, and I love seeing Billy finally have the upper hand, even if everyone around him is waiting for him to fail.
Billy should feel zero regret for how he got here since he played the game, and for once, he actually came out on top. While he navigates the office politics, other moves are being made.
Sally (Courtney Hope) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) are officially positioning themselves as Genoa City’s newest power duo, and I am here for it. This alliance is a tactical shift that could disrupt the status quo, especially as both women have plenty of reasons to want to prove their worth outside of the typical family structures, and as the power balance shifts, Billy is firmly in the driver's seat, and it is about time!
