The Young and the Restless: Can Nate forgive Victoria for her big Lily secret?

It looks like The Young and the Restless' Nate and Victoria are reuniting, judging from their kiss this week after they left Society. But how will Nate feel once he finds out that Victoria has been secretive about Lily's whereabouts — and that Victor kidnapped Lily, Mattie, and Charlie? Will Nate feel like he can't trust her anymore? Will their blossoming romance end before it's even begun?

With every passing day, Nate (Sean Dominic) and Devon (Bryton James) are becoming more and more worried that something happened to Lily (Christel Khalil). She hasn't called or texted either of them, and they haven't heard from Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) or Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) either.

If Devon and Nate knew that Victor (Eric Braeden) kidnapped them as a way of getting Cane (Billy Flynn) to return Newman Enterprises, they would be furious. Victor is not a man you can reason with, which is certainly going to complicate Nate's romantic reunion with Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Unfortunately, Nate will find himself back in Victor's orbit, and we can only imagine how messy it's going to get. Victor usually doesn't care for the men Victoria dates and Nate is going to be at odds with him because he kidnapped Lily.

Will Nate view Victoria's silence as a betrayal?

When Victoria met Nate at Society, she went on and on about how determined she was to get Victor's company back for him. She also made it clear that she wants to be the person who saves NE.

Instead of being so concerned about her standing at NE and why Victor confides in Adam instead of her, maybe she should consider how angry Nate is going to be when he learns that her dear daddy kidnapped Lily and the twins — and how angry Nate is going to be at her for keeping it a secret.

When Victoria and Nate left Society and kissed, it left us wondering how she plans to explain her silence about Victor's diabolical plan. She knows that Nate wants to be with someone he can trust, especially after the heartbreak he suffered after everything that happened with Audra. How does Victoria think that Nate will be able to trust her if she's already keeping secrets from him, especially secrets that involve his loved ones?

How will Nate view this secret in comparison to Audra's secret?

Nate is still hurting from Audra's betrayal last year. He was never able to forgive her for lying about her deal with Victor, when the Mustache agreed to fund her new company, Vibrante, if she agreed to break up Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Claire (Hayley Erin). Will Nate be able to forgive Victoria for keeping it a secret that Victor kidnapped Lily and the twins?

Maybe, since the plan was Victor's idea, not Victoria's. Victor didn't even share the plan with her or anyone else in the family, except Adam (Mark Grossman). None of the other Newmans even approved of the plan once they learned about it. But of course, when Victor has his mind set on something, no one — not even his own family — can talk him out of it. Nate is well aware of that, so he may have an easier time forgiving Victoria than Audra.

So, there may still be hope for Nate and Victoria's romance. But it's still a heck of a way to start out a relationship, learning that your new girlfriend's father kidnapped your cousin and her two children.
