The Young and the Restless' Sharon has had a lot on her plate. Matt Clark ran Noah off the road. Nick is struggling with a leg injury and a possible painkiller addiction -- again, because of Matt. But now that Tessa told Sharon that Mariah may not be coming home, could Sharon possibly ask Victor to help track down her daughter?

Mariah's call to Sharon on The Young and the Restless

A few months ago, on The Young and the Restless, both Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Noah (Lucas Adams) desperately needed their mother, Sharon (Sharon Case). Mariah was staying in a mental health facility and struggling emotionally. She called Sharon and tearfully asked her to visit her at the clinic. Noah was in a hospital bed in L.A., in an induced coma after his car crashed. Y&R fans were debating over which child needed Sharon's attention more at that very moment. Sharon decided to remain by Noah's bedside, in case he woke up.

Now that Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) told Sharon that Mariah left the Boston clinic and has shut her out of her life, Tessa isn't entirely sure where Mariah is now. She used an app to track down Mariah's current location. First, the app showed that Mariah went westward, then south. But none of Mariah's loved ones knows where she really is. The last time we saw her, she was in a motel in an unknown location, talking to Ian Ward (Ray Wise). Is he real or just a hallucination?

Sharon now feels guilty that she didn't visit Mariah when she asked her to, when Mariah needed her mother's support so badly. Could Victor (Eric Braeden), with all of his money and power, call upon his "people" to track down Mariah for Sharon?

Victor has a lot on his plate, too

Between the Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) nightmare and the AI attack on Newman Enterprises, Victor has his hands full right now on The Young and the Restless. Matt Clark has been a threat to his family for decades, and the attack on NE may very well bring about the ruination of Victor's business and legacy. So, he doesn't have very much time on his hands to help Sharon find Mariah.

But since Sharon is his ex-daughter-in-law and the mother of two of his grandchildren, Noah and Faith (Reylynn Caster), Victor might be willing to take the time to call his people and instruct them to locate Mariah's whereabouts. Or, would he call Michael (Christian LeBlanc) instead?

Mariah will receive a haunting message on Friday

The Young and the Restless spoilers for this week say that Mariah will receive a haunting message. Could it be from Ian Ward? She had a couple of conversations with him, but we're assuming that they were only hallucinations -- or at least we hope so. Victor is already dealing with one dangerous man as it is. By the way, what exactly did he do to rid the Newmans of Matt? We will have to wait and see! In any case, he certainly doesn't need Ian Ward to darken his door again. The last time he did, Victor was shot!

It just seems that Victor, with all of his resources, is Sharon's best bet (and possibly her only hope) in trying to locate Mariah, who is struggling and allowing Ian to pull her back to her dark side. This storyline has dragged on for so long, and now that Ian is back in the picture (even if only as a hallucination), it's time for Sharon to find her daughter. Of course, Sharon doesn't know that Ian is on Mariah's mind, but she should still try to find her. Now that Noah is out of the coma and safely back in Genoa City, Sharon should turn her attention to Mariah.

This story has vibes of the time when Cameron's ghost (Linden Ashby) was tormenting Sharon, after she thought she had killed Heather (Vail Bloom). It took a long time for her to erase him from her mind. Now, Mariah is facing a similar crisis, since she claimed that she tried to kill a man she met in a bar. She needs her mother's support now more than ever before. Between the Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) kidnapping, Noah's car crash, and discovering that Matt Clark is alive, Sharon has barely had a chance to take a breath! But she has demonstrated great strength over the past several storylines, so now, she needs to take action and rely on her inner strength again to help her pull Mariah back from the brink of despair.
