Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless has seen its share of schemers -- Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and David Kimble (Michael Corbett), to name but a few. Now, there's a new one in town who is putting this trio to shame in terms of ingenuity! We're kidding, of course, because we're talking about Harrison Abbott, played by Redding Munsell. He texted former lovebirds Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and made it seem like he was having an emergency. The little fibber said he needed his dad and his ex-girlfriend's help with a school project, and then attempted to get the two to realize that they had more in common than a winning couple on The Newlywed Game. It sometimes takes years for masterminds to get exposed. Harrison is going to have to work on his deception skills, however. He fessed up in the same episode that his true assignment was for him to complete it by himself. Harrison said he liked things better when Claire and Kyle were together. Kyle certainly inherited some of his late grandfather's (John Abbott, played by Jerry Douglas) because he met his son's well-intentioned trickery with patience, love, and a promise to spend more time with him. It looks like Harrison's going to have to sharpen his deception skills if he wants to start winning the games he's playing. Then again, perhaps Kyle and Claire will consider what Harrison was trying to do and rethink their relationship. Perhaps, Leanna, Phyllis, and (the presumed-dead) David could take a lesson from Harrision in being honest about their intentions?
