The Young and the Restless Daily YAPP recap, April 3: Noah Newman is staying put beyond a Shadow of a doubt

Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

What happened on The Young and the Restless

It's been a head scratcher that The Young and the Restless has lost so many younger leading men over the last decade or so, all of whom had potential to lead storylines into the character. We're talking about the characters of Stitch (Sean Carrigan), Scott (Daniel Hall), Theo (Tyler Johnson), Travis (Michael Roark), and Chance (Conner Floyd). Some of these characters have blood ties to the Fenmore, Brooks, and Chancellor families! That's why we understandably held our breath after Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) returned to the canvas last year after the character was in a car accident in Los Angeles. Would Noah stay in L.A. (if he lived!) or might he go back to London, where he has a club? Now, there are clear indications that Noah is staying where he belongs in Genoa City. He's got a love interest in Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), a former lover in Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), family in Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case), his parents, and the rest of the Newman clan. He's got a backstory -- he grew up in Genoa City and is no stranger to Crimson Lights, where he recently reconnected with Audra, and we were reminded she miscarried his child. Noah informed Audra that he was sticking around and that he was going to essentially recreate The Shadow Room (the bar in Los Angeles where a lot of action took place last year -- so, it sounds like that set will be getting some use again in all likelihood). This also means that Y&R is committed to the character of Noah sticking around. Good. After all, the show is named The Young and the Restless. Along with Michael Mealor's Kyle Abbott, Noah is leading the show into the future. Kudos to Y&R for casting Adams and the indications that Noah is going to be around for the foreseeable future!
