The Young and the Restless Daily YAPP, recap, February 11: Mariah's road trip with Dominic comes to a merciful end

Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

What happened on The Young and the Restless

Fortunately, Dominic (Ethan Ray Clark) was familiar with Mariah (Camryn Grimes), his kidnapper on The Young and the Restless so the little boy wasn't too scared during his sojourn. To her credit, Mariah tried to make Dominic as comfortable as possible. They played hide-and-seek and ate in diners. Hey, who wouldn't like to do that? But we figured Dominic wouldn't play along with his Aunt Mariah forever. As their travels continued, and Mariah began to realize that she didn't really have a plan, Dominic started to get a little weary of being away from home. He fought back with Mariah, telling her he wanted to go home. That didn't sit well with Mariah, who didn't want it pointed out to her that her charge was unhappy. Fortunately, Devon (Bryton James), Abby (Melissa Ordway), Det. Burrow (Matt Cohen), and Sharon (Sharon Case) were hot on the duo's trail. Just when it looked like both Mariah and Dominic were at the end of their respective wits, they were located. Sharon approached the car first. Dominic was apprehensive. On one hand, he was pleased to see another grown-up, but he wasn't sure that Sharon was the answer to his problems. It turned out she was. The next thing we saw was Dominic running into the arms of his parents. Y&R gave us a midweek happy ending when we needed it the most!
