Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

What happened on The Young and the Restless

What happened was that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) learned the hard way that you don't mess with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). His plan to use the AI program to take over all of Genoa City has backfired -- big time. Cane's first mistake was thinking he could outplay Victor, who has been at this game a lot longer than Cane. Victor warned Cane not to go up against him, but he just didn't listen. Cane's second biggest move was trusting Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), who backstabbed him and chloroformed him. While Cane was out like a light, Phyllis took everything! Cane has nothing. Worse yet, Victor is demanding that Cane return Newman Enterprises to him, even though he knows that Cane no longer can do that. Cane's suggestion to Victor that he take it out on him and not Lily (Christel Khalil) fell on deaf ears. Now, Cane must be wondering where it all went wrong. Less than a year ago, he was living a secluded and anonymous life as Aristotle Dumas, a man who didn't truly exist except on The Young and the Restless. Even though Lily told Cane time and time again that she didn't want to reunite, he kept moving forward with his grand scheme, which has now collapsed. Cane might be shocked that Victor is holding him accountable when he no longer has any agency in this whole mess. But that's exactly why one doesn't cross Victor Newman!
