Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

What happened on The Young and the Restless

Esther (Kate Linder) could have charged admission at Crimson Lights today, given that Sally (Courtney Hope) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) sparred over the latest power grab related to Newman Media and Abbott Communications! The two women brought high energy, pace, and vitality to their heated conversation in scenes brilliantly directed by Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe). It was only natural that, in between the mentions of who stole what from whom. and the legalities of it. came the personal issues. Chelsea initially addressed that she had cheated on Billy (Jason Thompson) with Adam (Mark Grossman). Sally, who was with Adam at the time, told her adversary that that was in the past. (Although, not entirely in the past as Sally soon revealed!) Rather than have the two women resort to hair-pulling and name-calling, they tried to find common ground, as Chelsea suggested that they work together to try to help Billy. Despite their mutual feelings for Billy, the two women couldn't help but take shots at each other. Sally noted that Newman Media, under Billy and Chelsea, was the place "where clickbait and unnamed sources are the gold standard." (Ouch) Chelsea fired back at the hypocrisy of Sally being okay with running one of the companies that Billy stole, but leaving him over the other. Touché! The two women were evenly matched, but Sally got quite a dig in when she wondered where Chelsea's concern for Billy was when she cheated on him! (We guess that hurt wasn't entirely in the past, right?) The redhead added that it seemed as if Chelsea ended up where she truly belonged -- with the Newmans! Mic drop! What a way to start The Young and the Restless week!
