Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

It turns out that Sally (Courtney Hope) and Audra (Zulekya Silver) don't have the only female friendship on The Young and the Restless. Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) made a gesture to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who is now the Queen of Newman Enterprises (!). Understandably, Phyllis was a bit guarded around Lauren, given that Lauren's husband, Michael (Christian LeBlanc), is pals with Victor (Eric Braeden) -- or at least he's his on-again/off-again attorney. But Phyllis took Lauren at her word and accepted her offer to break bread at the Genoa City Athletic Club. Phyllis kept quiet but took in every single word when Billy (Jason Thompson) came along and started trading barbs with Lauren, whom Billy suspected was trying to play. Was she? Billy's stance seemed not that far-fetched. Phyllis does have to be concerned with who she lets into her inner circle, given all the power that she's now accumulated. We could see Phyllis taking in every syllable that Billy and Lauren exchanged. After Billy left, Phyllis rolled the dice and extended an invitation of her own to Lauren -- would she come work with her at Newman Enterprises? Is Lauren truly concerned about her pal -- or is she a Trojan Horse infiltrating Phyllis's camp to turn the tables on her? Could it be both? We're officially intrigued!
