Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

After Cane (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) hashed out the situation involving Victor's threats to Cane, using Lily (Christel Khalil) as leverage, Phyllis and Cane hightailed it over to the Genoa City Athletic Club, where Phyllis had an encounter with Daniel (Michael Graziadei). Phyllis's son summed up the situation with the parties involved fairly quickly. He called his mother's takeover of Victor's company pathetic. Phyllis wondered why the world wasn't thanking her for what she'd done. "You weren't protecting anyone," Daniel pointed out. "You didn't 'save' anyone. You want to sit here, and you want to rant about how horrible Victor is, but then you turn around and pull the same crap." After having had enough of his mother's antics, Daniel offered his mother a simple solution -- give the company back! "Give it back. Give Victor back his company," Daniel stated. "Or you will never speak to me, or Lucy (Lily Brooks O'Briant) again." Once he got pushback from his mother on that, Daniel reminded her that she had begged him and Lucy to forgive Phyllis for faking her death a few years ago. "Had I known this is the way you were going to lead your life, I probably should have just walked away then," Daniel stated. He informed Phyllis and Cane that if anything were to happen to Lily (Christel Khalil) or her kids, it would be on both of them! Once the subject of a fierce custody battle between his parents when he was a little one, Daniel is now the official grown-up in the room. His advice is sound. In fact, Daniel could start charging for it, and if he wants to become a psychologist on The Young and the Restless, his mother can be his first official patient.
