Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

Just when it looks like Cane (Billy Flynn) is going to win the business battles in Genoa City with the switcheroo AI program that turns on the host user, The Young and the Restless has thrown us a twist that is set to focus on an emotional connection within this business story. Cane got tag-teamed today when Victoria (Amelia Heinle) shocked him with the fact that she'd reached out to Lily (Christel Khalil), Cane's ex, and his and Lily's daughter, Mattie (Lexie Stevenson). Then, we saw that Victor reach out to Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton) to let her know of Cane's most recent actions. While Cane may not see a future with Lily, we're guessing that he does want to have a relationship with his surrogate mother, Jill. She's likely the only person who can get Cane to stop his takeover of Newman Enterprises. Jill can't influence Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), but she might not be able to do much damage if she loses Cane's support. Hopefully, this is setting the stage for more appearances by Walton's Jill. A fan favorite since she set foot in Genoa City in 1987, the actress's presence is always welcome. While Victor (Eric Braeden) may not have much use for Jack (Peter Bergman) or other Abbott family members, he does view Jill, the ex-wife of the late John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), as a potential ally in taking down Cane!
