Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

What happens on The Young and the Restless

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) was initially shocked in today's episode of The Young and the Restless when Adam (Mark Grossman) revealed that Victor (Eric Braeden) might threaten to use Lily (Christel Khalil) and "the twins" as leverage against Cane. It's a ruthless move, and that word describes Victor perfectly. Of course, Victor wouldn't truly hurt them, but Cane might not know that. He certainly would think twice before calling Victor's bluff. But we have to admit that every time Charlie and Mattie (last played by Noah Alexander Gerry and Lexie Stevenson) are mentioned as "the twins," we wonder how old the show thinks that they are! Gerry and Stevenson took over the parts after they went through "rapid-aging" (AKA SORAS - Soap Opera Rapid-Aging Syndrome) nearly a decade ago! The ex-teens have to be out of college by now, living separate lives as grown adults. Victor's threatening to harm or kidnap or whatever he's going to do "the twins" conjures up an image of them being toddlers. Maybe we've just seen too many reruns of Knots Landing (IYKYK), but Charlie and Mattie aren't helpless little twins. The siblings have to be the most referred to characters on soaps, who are not currently on the canvas in quite some time. Perhaps it's time that the show reintroduces the two characters and establishes their age so they can play more key roles in Cane's ongoing story to rule all of Genoa City?
