Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless threw a wrench into Nick Newman's (Joshua Morrow) plan to track down Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) by incorporating his half-brother Adam's (Mark Grossman) past as the short-lived persona he assumed called "Spider" into the story. There's a potential connection between Matt and a woman named Riza, whom Adam knows from his days in Sin City when he was called Spider. Once again, the storyline on Y&R is taking characters out of Genoa City. Over the last year, we've seen folks travel to Nice, France, and Los Angeles, California. Each time, the Newmans have made one big mistake. They packed plenty to wear, but they didn't bring along any security. The Newmans, despite the recent financial loss of Newman Enterprises and its subsidiaries, have some money left, right? In real life, they'd be traveling with security details. Now, Nick has given Sharon reasons as to why he won't bring any guards with him on his trip to Las Vegas. He said Riza would run for the hills, and Matt would, too, if he showed up with an army. Okay, no one is suggesting an army. But what about two (or three) inconspicuous guards following closely behind? Nick chastized, rightfully so, his son, Noah (Lucas Adams), for going off with Sienna (Tamara Braun) while Matt was still on the lam. Sienna was kidnapped, and Noah got conked on the head. If they'd had a security detail with them, that probably wouldn't have happened. Nick really needs a discreet security guard tailing him, ready to make a last-minute save.
