Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

It's a long-held belief that once a couple ties the knot, there's no more conflict for the duo. Fortunately, The Young and the Restless has reminded us that marriage doesn't mean death in Genoa City. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) isn't a romantic rival in Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman's (Melody Thomas Scott) marriage, but he's a huge source of conflict for them. Nikki values Jack as a friend and friendly former husband. Victor views Jack as a bargaining chip whom he wouldn't hesitate to trap on a yacht with his unbalanced ex-wife, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). Mid-week, Nikki was determined to confront Victor upon learning that he was behind Jack's disappearance. The show made us wait until Friday's episode to see Victor and Nikki spar over Jack. Braeden brilliantly had Victor refuse to look at Nikki throughout their scenes, for the most part. Thomas Scott's Nikki upped her character's passion, as she advocated for Jack's safety. Of course, that only alienated Victor even more! Victor assured that Jack was safe and sound. Nikki highly doubted Jack would agree with that assertion. Victor shrugged he didn't give a damn whether Jack agreed with it or not! Victor and Nikki are facing external forces these days -- Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and the AI program -- but the most dramatic conflict comes from their feelings about Jack! Every time, they spar over the Abbott patriarch Y&R fans get to see some great drama!
