Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has incurred Nikki's (Melody Thomas Scott) wrath on The Young and the Restless by kidnapping Jack (Peter Bergman). And while the mogul has lost the battle now that Jack's been rescued, he appears to be winning the war. How so? Victor had put Jack on an empty yacht with Patty (Stacy Haiduk), his unbalanced ex-wife, and the two were found in a compromising position by Jack's family -- his wife, Diane (Susan Walters), his son, Kyle (Michael Mealor), and his brother, Billy (Jason Thompson) -- when the family members came upon him. If Victor was hoping that Diane would jump to the wrong conclusion, he got his wish! Diane's fury and feelings of betrayal have probably blinded her to the irony of the scenario. In the 1980s, Jack (then played by Terry Lester) was married to Patty (then Lilibet Stern), and he was having an affair with Diane (then Alex Donnelley). Oh, how times have changed! Diane didn't hold back in terms of letting Jack know exactly how she felt by slapping him across the face! Was it Victor's plan all along to get his revenge on Jack by destroying his relationship with Diane? It wouldn't be the first time Victor emerged victorious! But he could find out it's a case of "be careful what you wish for." If Victor pushes Nikki away, and Jack becomes single (though we suspect he and Diane will work things out), then Victor could end up watching Jack and Nikki pair up again!
