Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) have one of the best marriages not only on The Young and the Restless but in all of soapdom! The couple celebrated 20 years of togetherness last year, and the duo's past conflict has mostly come from external forces. It made perfect sense that Lauren would update her husband on what was going on with her work-wise upon his return from visiting their son, Fenmore, in New York. She told Michael about her plan to go to work with Phyllis and run Summers Conglomerate, formerly Newman Enterprises. Michael didn't object -- but, frankly, he should have. Victor Newman, Phyllis, Cane, Jack, and other key players have been playing games with their businesses, but there are big, legal stakes happening. Eventually, the lawyers and the authorities are going to get involved. Michael did give good advice to Phyllis, telling her that Victor won't just sit back and do nothing now that Phyllis has his company. Lauren accepted Phyllis's offer. Phyllis was surprised that her pal said yes, given her husband's "objections." What objections? Michael is one of the best attorneys who's ever argued a case in Genoa City. He said he made his case, but it was a weak one. Michael should have laid out a case in which Lauren, realizing that Phyllis could go to jail someday, would have thought twice about being an accessory after the fact. Sure, Michael gets an "A" for being a husband. But as an attorney? Lauren might want to get some legal aid on this move!
