Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

In the darkest of times, some people hang onto their sense of humor. On The Young and the Restless today, that's certainly what Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) was able to do. For nearly the last year, Mariah has been a wreck between what happened on her business trip with the mystery man (played by As the World Turns star, Michael Swan) and her ill-fated attempt to "rescue" Dominic (Ethan Ray Clark) from living in the Chancellor mansion. Grimes's acting in this storyline has been so heartbreaking because she plays Mariah as a woman who's doing things, and even she doesn't fully know why. That's one reason why Mariah would like to just go away. It's been really hard to watch her in so much pain, especially as many viewers know her as little Cassie, the role Grimes began playing as a youngster in 1997. Today, Christine (Lauralee Bell), Mariah's attorney, and Sharon (Sharon Case), Sharon's mother, discussed Mariah's case at length. Later, the two women connected with Mariah at Crimson Lights, ironically, the place where, for years, a section of the java hangout was named "Cassie's Corner," in honor of Mariah's late twin. Mariah has her walls up, so when Sharon and Christine let her know that they'd been talking about her case, Mariah quipped with a slight laugh, "Whatever happened to attorney/client privilege?" Probably the last thing on Mariah's mind is legal protocol, as she has so much else on her mind. While Mariah has a long way to go to start feeling better about herself, she hasn't lost her sense of humor. That can only be a good thing!
