The Young and the Restless: Did Victor really turn Matt over to the police?

When The Young and the Restless' Sienna told Nick that Victor turned Matt Clark over to the police, we had a hard time believing it. That isn't the way Victor operates. He likes to take care of his enemies in his own personal way. Did the Y&R writers throw us a curveball, or did Victor truly hand Matt over to the cops?

Michael's info about Matt on The Young and the Restless

On Monday's episode of The Young and the Restless, Sienna (Tamara Braun) told Nick (Joshua Morrow) that Victor (Eric Braeden) turned Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) over to the police. "He's been arrested, jailed without bail, and awaiting his trial date," she said. Can we really believe this information, or do the Y&R writers have something up their sleeves?

Victor doesn't always handle these kinds of situations the legal way. He's been known to lock up a couple of his past enemies in private cells in his home. He did it to Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) just a couple of years ago, and he also did it to Michael Scott (Nicholas Benedict) in 1980. Who's to say he didn't do the same thing to Matt Clark, especially considering that Matt has been a Newman enemy for over twenty-five years?

Let's consider the source

Considering that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) was the person who gave Sienna that information about Matt, it's hard for us to believe that it's true. Michael works for Victor and has been obsessed with proving his loyalty to the Mustache for years. For all we know, maybe Victor paid Michael to tell the other Newmans that Matt is in police custody, just to satisfy his family's curiosity.

Maybe Michael didn't bother to ask Victor what he really did with Matt. After all, he and Cole (J. Eddie Peck) were the ones who found Jordan locked up in the basement of Victor's previous house. Michael knows that Victor is a big fan of vigilante justice, and he thinks he is above the law.

Michael probably figures that it's wise not to ask Victor any questions, for a couple of reasons. Number one, Victor would probably tell him to mind his own business (which he has done before). Number two, if Victor did tell Michael what he did with Matt, then that would make Michael an accessory after the fact.

Sharon and Nick expressed quiet disapproval over Noah's romance with Sienna

It was funny how Sharon and Nick kept sneaking uneasy looks at each other when they saw how much Noah loves Sienna. They are not thrilled that he is involved with her. They seem like they are more worried about their son's love life than they are about whether their dangerous enemy is truly behind bars. Come on, guys! Go to the police station and make sure that Matt is really there. Don't simply take Michael's word for it. He's Victor's right-hand man!

After all, if they don't make sure that Matt is locked up, then the next person he could go after is Faith (Reylynn Caster), Mariah (Camryn Grimes), Christian, or even Summer (Allison Lanier). Yes, we believe that Matt would fly all the way to Milan to target Summer. We wouldn't put it past him, and neither should Nick and Sharon. He did tell crooked detective Annie (Catherine Kresge) that he was going to make the entire Newman family pay.

So, unless Victor really has him locked up somewhere on the Newman ranch, then there's always a chance that Matt could somehow escape from police custody. When it comes to soap villains, we never know where they will pop up next!
