The Young and the Restless: Is Phyllis planning to gift Daniel a division of Newman Enterprises to run?

Now that The Young and the Restless' Phyllis and Cane are destroying Newman Enterprises with the AI program, they are excitedly looking forward to the future. What are Phyllis' plans? Is she hoping to gift Daniel a division of NE to run?

Now that The Young and the Restless' Cane (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) are destroying Newman Enterprises with the AI program, the two of them are happy as clams and celebrating their victory -- which is a little premature. We all know that Victor (Eric Braeden) will somehow get his company back. There is no way that he will sit back and let anyone take over the company that he built from the ground up. He has way too much pride. It's only a matter of time before he finds a strategy for retaliation.

But for the time being, Phyllis is on cloud nine. Just what is she hoping to do with her share of the company? Is she thinking of offering it to her son, Daniel (Michael Graziadei), so that he can run it however he sees fit?

Daniel has been out of work for a long time

Some other Y&R characters may accuse Phyllis of being selfish, and maybe she is. But we know she always looks out for her children, Daniel and Summer (Allison Lanier). When she was prepared to strike a deal with the Abbotts to help them save their company, Jabot Cosmetics, all she wanted was for Jack to give Summer full ownership of Marchetti. She didn't want Summer to be caught in the middle of the Newman and Abbott feud.

At one point, Phyllis was excited to work with Daniel at Abbott Communications with Billy (Jason Thompson), but Daniel ultimately decided against it, and it fell through after that. But now that Cane and Phyllis are destroying NE with the AI program, and they hope to take it over for themselves, is Phyllis hoping to hand over one of NE's divisions to Daniel?

Daniel has been out of work for at least a year now, and he doesn't seem to have any long-range career goals at the moment. All we've seen him do is play the guitar with Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). How would he feel if Phyllis were to give him part of Victor's company to run? Initially, he probably wouldn't be happy that she and Cane obtained NE through illegal and dangerous tactics. He has no personal vendetta against Victor. But would he eventually come around to her way of thinking and accept the company's division as his own?

We have to give credit where credit is due. When Phyllis indulges in a daydream, she really goes all out. That fantasy she had about Victor handing her the oversized, golden key to Newman Enterprises (with the initial "N" in the center) -- well, that scene made us feel like we were watching the Academy Awards! Perhaps that's the NE version of an Oscar statuette. Who wouldn't want to receive that beautifully sculpted key as an award for something? Phyllis, when you dream, you dream big. You go, girl!

And to hear Victor tell her so kindly that she won Newman Enterprises fair and square and that he never realized she was the real threat to everything he built -- we had ourselves a good chuckle over that. He spoke about her power and determination. He agreed when Cane called her a genius. Victor would never in a million years say those things! He is ruthless to the core. Enjoy the fantasy for now, Phyllis, because Victor will fight like hell to get his company back. So, maybe it would be wise not to get Daniel mixed up in all this mess, since NE isn't going to be yours and Cane's for very long.
