On The Young and the Restless, Victor Newman's kidnapping plot to reclaim Newman Enterprises has left fans feeling the man has lost his way.
What Happened On The Young and the Restless

Enough is enough, with over half a dozen kidnappings in as many months, is there anything else that happens in Genoa City? Honestly, it is time to move past the kidnapping tropes. Victor (Eric Braeden) decided to skip the corporate legalities and just grabbed someone to get his company back.
Shall we count them? Lilly (Christel Khalil), the twins, Jack, Sharon (Sharon Case) so many times she has PTSD over it, Nick (Joshua Morrow), the list goes on, just stop for the love of pete.
Mumbles claims it is all for the Newman name, but it looks more like he has run out of actual business moves. It's the go-to solution for everything now and Chloroform sales are through the roof.

Historically it's been used as a surgical anesthetic, but now is the product du jour for the aspiring business man, or woman as Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) showcased.
Seriously, can we just stop it with the kidnappings? Enough is enough. Genoa City is supposed to be about corporate based drama, but lately, it feels like a revolving door of basement dungeons and foggy heads.
Victor used to be the guy who could bankrupt you with one phone call. Now, he’s just a guy who uses zip ties and is hard to hear.

Social media is full of viewers who are over the same old tricks. On X, one fan wrote, "Can we go one month without a kidnapping? Victor is acting like a common criminal, not a businessman. I'm over it." Another viewer on Facebook commented, "I miss the real corporate battles. These kidnappings are just lazy writing, and they make Victor look desperate, not powerful."
The latest kidnapping

Can't see the forest for the trees, know that saying? It applies here as Victor is focused on getting his chair back at any cost. But the choice of crime over strategy, has the show losing the fans who actually like watching him be a genius. We want the corporate shark, not a common thief. It is time for the writers to get back to the office and leave the kidnappings behind.
Although, I will give them credit for the location this time, the toy boat in the pool shots are great lol, but seriously, having Jack (Peter Bergman) taken and held aboard a superyacht in the middle of some ocean, well that is inspired. It also makes the idea of a rescue much more involved and needing batman levels of cunning.

Just add the addion of Stacy Haiduks Patty and we have all the ingredients that leaves nothing out of the runnings as far as plot twists still to come. Sound off with me! NO MORE KIDNAPPINGS.
