Now that The Young and the Restless' Detective Burrow appears to have relocated from L.A. and has joined the Genoa City police department, some of us can't help wondering what GC lady they might pair him up with. It feels like the most natural choice would be Sharon, since she has a history of falling for cops. Let's take a walk down memory lane and reflect on her past relationships with lawmen:
Dylan McAvoy on The Young and the Restless

After Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) joined the police department in Genoa City on The Young and the Restless, he learned that he was the biological son of Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Paul (Doug Davidson) -- which made Dylan a legacy character. He and Sharon (Sharon Case) had a good marriage, even though they struggled through some heartaches -- for example, Sharon's miscarriage.
Dylan was arguably one of the best and most loving husbands Sharon ever had. If he hadn't been forced to go into the Witness Protection Program after a dangerous undercover assignment, maybe they would still be together?
Since Burton left Y&R in 2017 and returned to his iconic role as Jason Morgan on General Hospital, some Y&R fans have wondered whether the character of Dylan might ever be recast. How would Sharon feel if he came back into her life now?
Rey Rosales

Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) was the next hot cop who fell in love with and eventually married Sharon. When he first came to GC, he was in a troubled marriage to Mia (Noemi Gonzalez). While Rey tried to make his marriage work, he and Sharon became friends and slowly developed feelings for each other.
After he discovered that Mia slept with his brother, Arturo (Jason Canela), and became pregnant with his baby, Rey and Mia divorced. Mia and Arturo left GC and moved to Miami to start a life together. Rey and Sharon then became involved and eventually married. Alas, Rey died in a car crash, and Sharon was left alone yet again.
Chance Chancellor

Sharon's romance with Chance (Conner Floyd) on The Young and the Restless was a casual one and didn't last very long. He wanted a more serious relationship, but she wanted to focus on her career and keep things light between them.
But even though they broke up, her involvement with him continued her pattern of being drawn to policemen. When he was shockingly killed in Nice, France by Cane's (Billy Flynn) assistant, Carter (Vincent Stalba), it left a void in the hearts of all the other GC residents. He was a legacy character as the son of Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) and Phillip Chancellor III (Thom Bierdz). He was also Jill's (Jess Walton) grandson.
Will Detective Burrow become Sharon's new man?

So, now that it looks like Detective Burrow (what's his first name?) is taking up permanent residence in Genoa City, will he become Sharon's next love? He's already spent some time with her in L.A., when he was working undercover and trying to take down Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). And now that he will be working on finding Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Dominic (Ethan Ray Clark), he will be spending even more time with Sharon (since she's Mariah's mother). Since both of Burrow's cases have involved one of Sharon's children, he's getting to know a little bit about Sharon's family.
We think we know how this love match is going to develop. Sharon will be distressed throughout the kidnapping storyline, worrying about Mariah's broken emotional state and Dominic's well-being. As Detective Burrow tries to track down Mariah and Dominic, he will lend Sharon support. She will suffer through moments of frustration, tears, and guilt, because she didn't go to the Boston clinic when Mariah asked her to come. Burrow will be a good listener. He will help her to get through this horrific ordeal.
After Mariah and Dominic have been found, Sharon will feel grateful for Burrow's friendship and support. Their friendly bond will deepen, and that, Y&R fans, will kick off Sharon and Burrow's romance (we suspect)! What will their smush name be? Shurrow? Baron? Tell us how you would feel if Sharon and Burrow become a couple!
