On The Young and the Restless, the return of Malcolm Winters brings a legendary spark back to Genoa City as Shemar Moore reprises the role that launched his iconic career!
What Is Happening on The Young and the Restless?

It's happening, it's real! It is not a rumour, but fact you can take to the bank. The devilishly handsome Moore is returning to the role of Malcolm Winters this April, and the timing could not be better for a Winters family reunion.
There is no doubt that moore has had massive success in primetime and conquered the action genre, his heart clearly remains in daytime and fans are absolutely living for it. Not much stirs a fans heart 'Moore' than a return of a favorite character and for the right reasons.
I am so excited and I just can't hide it... you know the rest of the lyrics.

So with that in mind I went trawling the halls of history, and asked myself what are some peak Malcom moments to share? Looking back at his time, there are three definitive moments that absolutely locked-in Malcolm as a legend, starting all the way back with his 1994 debut as the "rebellious" younger brother of Neil Winters (the late Kristoff St. John) which set the stage for a decade of complex sibling rivalry that we still talk about today.
He arrived with such a massive chip on his shoulder but eventually transformed into a true cornerstone of the community.
Then of course there was the heavy drama surrounding Lily’s (Christel Khalili) paternity which remains one of the show's most heartbreaking arcs because when the truth finally came out that Malcolm, not Neil, was Lily’s biological father, Moore delivered these powerful and incredibly vulnerable performances that saw him earn a well-deserved Daytime Emmy in 2000.

Finally, who could ever forget his "return from the dead" in 2004 following that wild bridge collapse in Kenya, which was just peak soap opera storytelling, especially that confrontation with Neil that was fueled by years of resentment and perceived abandonment, and it really showcased the incredible, lightning-in-a-bottle chemistry between Moore and the late, great Kristoff St. John. So there we have it soap fans, do you agree or is there another Malcolm moment in your "Hall of Fame" ? I'd love to hear from the fnas out there what their favorites were so please us the comment section loudly and proudly.
Social media is going off right now with excitement, and the fans are not holding back. This is huge news to them. And they are buzzing.
"Genoa City just got a whole lot more attractive. Welcome home, Malcolm!" noted one fan on X, while a popular Facebook group admin posted, "Seeing Shemar back with the Winters clan feels like the show is finally healing."
Malcolm’s return, alongside Vivica A. Fox’s Stephanie Simmons, promises to stir up more than just nostalgia. With the Winters family currently facing some pretty intense internal friction, a dose of Malcolm’s wisdom, and perhaps a bit of his old trouble-making spirit, is exactly what the doctor ordered for the residents of Genoa City.
The Young and the Restless, was where he did his training, and became the legend of the screen we know him as. I for one cannot wait for April! I may just have marked the calendar already.
