The Young and the Restless has plenty of drama coming up this week, as Nick, Adam, Sharon, and Noah fight to stay alive. Matt chained Sharon and Noah to the inside of an abandoned gas station and left them to die. Meanwhile, a drugged-up Nick and Adam are driving there. How will everyone get out of this nightmare alive?

Matt videotapes his victims

Y&R sneak peek for this week showed us Matt (Roger Howarth) watching his four victims on videotape from the inside of a car. Apparently, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Adam (Mark Grossman) arrive at the abandoned gas station where Matt chained Sharon (Sharon Case) and Noah (Lucas Adams) inside. But evidently, Nick passes out from the pills he's been taking and Adam is trying to revive him. Meanwhile, Sharon and Noah are trying to figure out how to free themselves from the chains.

The Y&R writers are truly showing us how sadistic Matt is. He wants Sharon and Noah to die a slow, agonizing death with no food or water to keep them alive. It seems like it would have made more sense if he had poured gasoline all over the floor and lit a match. Fires are always dramatic soap staples, and we haven't seen any on Y&R in a long time. Plus, if he's waiting for them to die of hunger and thirst, then he's going to have to sit there and watch them for hours and hours before that happens!

It's nice to see Adam caring about Nick and desperately trying to save him after all the problems they've had in the past. Y&R fans speculate that after all the horrors they've endured on this trip together, they will be close from here on out.

Victor or Riza need to save the day

If Victor (Eric Braeden) weren't home in Genoa City, doing battle with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) to reclaim his empire, then this would be the perfect time for him to swoop in and save everyone. After all, both his sons are in danger, as well as his grandson and the mother of his grandson. Plus, Matt might actually be afraid of Victor! By the way, shouldn't Matt want to kill him also, considering that Victor wiped out his finances online?

Riza (Tina Casciani) could get to the gas station in time to save everyone, since she knew that Matt was planning to trap everyone there. She has a gun, as we saw when Adam first arrived in Vegas. She pulled the gun on him because she wasn't sure she could trust him. Maybe this is where that gun comes into play. She could use it to shoot the chains off of Sharon and Noah.

Spoilers for this week say that Sienna (Tamara Braun) is going to lend her assistance, teaming up with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). Perhaps she will be the one who saves everyone?

What happens to The Young and the Restless' Nick?

The sneak preview for Y&R for this week show us an exhausted Adam returning to the hotel room. Chelsea asks him, "Where's Nick?" Do the Y&R writers honestly want us to believe that Nick didn't make it out of that gas station alive? We know that can't be true, considering that he's a lead character and the son of the show's biggest supercouple, Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). So, what news is Adam about to give Chelsea regarding Nick?

Perhaps Sharon, Noah, and Adam overtook Matt somehow, and Adam managed to get his phone back from Matt and called 911? Is it too much for us to hope that an ambulance came to the remote gas station and took Nick to the hospital?

We hope that's what happened, because Nick has needed help for his drug addiction for weeks now. When he returns to Genoa City, will he check himself into a rehab facility? Let's hope so. In the meantime, stay tuned, Y&R fans!
