Lilly announced to Lily and Cane that Chancellor Industries rightfully belonged to him. Lily fired Billy, but he crowed that she and Cane would be the ones out the door. Lily vowed to fight and warned Billy that he stood to lose everything that mattered to him. Cane blasted Billy for making him look like a fool for convincing Lily to give Billy a chance. Lily appealed to Holden to become her ally in her war with Billy.

Jack looped Ashley and Traci in about the newly discovered loan, discouraging the idea of pursuing a legal claim. Ashley and Traci were sympathetic about Billy’s need to run Chancellor to prove himself, and they encouraged Jack to stay out of it. Jack worried Billy would damage their father’s legacy. Cane turned to the Abbott siblings for help in stopping Billy.

Victoria and Kyle became closer as they discussed Nick’s struggles in rehab. Claire and Holden found it odd when they discovered Victoria and Kyle having coffee together. Holden confided to Claire that he wanted to find a normal job. Billy later urged Holden to align with him by staying on at Chancellor.

Lily and Cane prepared to go to war if Billy’s loan documents proved to be legitimate, agreeing to fight dirty if needed. Lily enlisted Devon’s support but was stunned when her brother contended that Katherine would have honored Phillip’s deal with John. Lily accused Devon of being petty because he disapproved of her relationship with Cane.

Audra found Billy drinking Champagne alone at the Athletic Club bar, and he boasted about assuming control of Chancellor. Sally returned home from her visit with her sister in California to find Billy and Audra happily sharing a toast. Upon learning of Billy’s plans, Sally feared his old obsession had resurfaced, but Billy assured her that things were turning out the way they were meant to be.

Chelsea attempted to get Billy’s side of the breaking story about Chancellor, but she realized that he didn’t trust her. Cane filled Victor in about Billy’s threat to take Chancellor, and Victor pledged that Billy would never get his hands on Katherine’s company. Victor ordered Adam to use Newman Media to trash Billy.

Lily proposed to Jack that Chancellor Industries pay back the loan with interest to avoid conflict altogether. Jack agreed to consider the offer, but he was concerned about the harm accepting it would cause his family.

Danny performed a new song for Christine, Lauren, and Michael at The Shadow Room. Danny revealed that he’d bought half of Noah’s stake in the club. Nina briefly returned to town and joined Christine and Traci for a girls’ night out to sample Danny’s new drink menu.

Sharon was rattled when Matt showed up at the coffeehouse, desperate for forgiveness. Sharon implored Matt to start over somewhere other than Genoa City, but he was determined to prove that he could be redeemed. Sharon later visited Nick in rehab, and he vowed never to forgive Matt.
