Michael nuzzled Lauren’s neck at The Shadow Room. He suggested they take advantage of having more alone time when Christine walked in. Chris said that Danny summoned her there. Danny entered and said he had an important announcement.

Chris told Lauren and Michael that Danny was working on the last song for his album; he offered a preview of his song. Danny performed his song, “All I Need Is You.” He took Cricket’s hand while he sang. Danny finished his song to applause and cheers from his wife and friends. Cricket said that she loved it. Lauren wondered if it was a love song or a breakup song.

Danny said it was the latter because when he started the song, he and Cricket had broken up. He then re-wrote the ending into a celebration, an anthem of their love. “All I need is you,” they said to each other. Lauren ribbed Michael for not writing her a song like that. He said he had done that using a gazoo. Michael started to “sing,” until Lauren quipped that he was “out of order.”

Danny shared additional news. He purchased half of Noah’s interest in the Genoa City Shadow Room. He wasn’t just the manager, he’s the owner. Danny said that he and Noah talked, and this move is good for both of them. Danny realized he had more responsibility than just managing the place. Danny said The Shadow Room was his new business, and that he would continue to do his music. Now, he’d have a place where people could hang out. “All I need is you,” Danny said as he kissed Cricket.

Lauren wondered if Danny was going to miss the road. Danny said that he’d miss the fans, but now he has a short commute. Plus, he was glad to be close to Cricket full-time. Chris noted that Lucy would be excited. Danny shared that Lucy and Daniel were at a concert in Chicago. Cricket said that it’d be nice for Daniel to have a reliable, non-troublemaking parent in Genoa City.

Danny hoped that Phyllis and Daniel would reconcile. Michael said that behind all Phyllis’s bravado, she really cares about her children. Cricket said that Phyllis would never change. Lauren suggested Danny host an ‘80s night at The Shadow Room. Danny said only if Lauren performed with him. Michael and Lauren exited. Danny and Cricket kissed.

Danny marveled that half of The Shadow Room was his. Cricket said that all of Danny was hers! Cricket romantically suggested they search for some private VIP areas in The Shadow Room.

Jack and Cane talked privately in the Jabot office. Jack said that Ashley and Traci’s task was to wrangle Billy. Jack suggested he and Cane lay their cards on the table. Cane said Billy seems certain of the facts. Jack advised resolving things calmly. Cane pointed out that Billy has been on a mission since he found the loan document. Cane said that Billy was ready to burn everything down. Jack said that if the document holds up, then the Abbotts own Chancellor.

Cane maintained that Billy owned Chancellor. Jack said it was hard to believe that Katherine wouldn’t have repaid the loan. Cane wondered if Jack was going to let Billy play into his obsession with Chancellor. Jack pointed out that Cane was the one who rehired Billy at Chancellor. Cane didn’t think Billy would find a secret like this. Jack advised Cane not to make all this personal. Jack said that the Abbotts do have a case. Cane pointed out that Chancellor has had multiple owners since the deal was made. This would never hold up in court.

Cane said that if Billy didn’t back off, then he would make it ugly. Jack noted that Cane and Lily’s bond had grown closer. He added that part of him just wanted to make this go away, but you know how Billy can be. Cane said that if Billy pursued this, then he’d lose everything.

Jack said that he was trying to protect his father’s name on this. Cane said that he’d fight to win. At that moment, Billy entered and suggested that Cane not fight at all. Jack advised finding a solution without contact. Billy stated that Chancellor Industries belongs to the Abbotts. Cane said that Lily was with Amanda and the rest of the company’s legal team.

Billy said that he would not let John Abbott be cheated, and how he felt about Lily wasn’t the issue. Billy said that he’d be generous if Cane helped with the transfer of power. Billy offered Cane the job of research and development, the same deal that Cane offered Billy. Cane told Billy to stop trying to rule the world. “Why? What would that resolve?

Jack asked Billy why he wanted Chancellor Industries. Billy told Cane to tell Lily that he’d be in touch and left.

Kyle and Victoria bumped into each other at Crimson Lights, and they grabbed a table together. Vicki thanked Kyle for checking in on her. Victoria said that Nick should not have checked himself out of rehab. Kyle asked what the event was that caused him to do that. Vicki shared that her parents, Victor and Nikki, renewed their vows.

Victoria wished that she could have taken away Nick’s feelings that led him down a dark path. Kyle expressed sympathy to Vicki. She knew that Nick had to find his way forward. She told Kyle that "for an Abbott," he was a pretty good friend. They held hands as Holden and Claire entered the coffee shop.

Claire said she was surprised to see Kyle and her Mom together. Kyle quipped he could be a pretty good friend “for an Abbott.” Holden went to get coffee for himself and Claire. Kyle said that Jack would help Nick when he could; he has to deal with some “business stuff” that’s taken up some energy.

Claire and Holden took their coffee and went to the patio. Vicki noted that Billy and Claire seemed okay. “Time heals all wounds,” Kyle said. “Breakups are never easy.”

Vicki said that it couldn’t be easy for him to see Claire with Holden. Kyle asked if Vicki was happy about Claire and Holden.

At their table, Holden noted that the encounter with Billy and Vicki was a bit awkward. Holden shared that Billy believed that Chancellor Industries belonged to the Abbotts. Holden said that Lily believed they were at war. Holden said tensions were high. He feared being caught in the middle.

Holden said that he felt like he owed Lily and Cane. He noted that Lily was at risk of losing Chancellor Industries. He wondered where that would leave him.

Vicki shared that Holden was Malcolm and Stephanie’s son. Kyle said that was news to him. He added he was okay with Vicki talking about all this. Vicki said she was letting Claire and Holden’s dynamic unfold.

Holden said that he was tired of the chaos. He had been hired to spy on people. Claire wondered if it was Cane or Lily who asked that. Holden wondered if it was too much to ask to just have a regular job. Claire suggested Holden talk to Lily. Holden didn’t think Billy was going anywhere. Holden hated the idea of being pulled into the battle with Billy, Cane, and Lily.

Billy entered the coffee shop. Vicki asked her ex if everything was okay. He said it was and excused himself to talk to Holden and Claire. Billy said there would be changes at Chancellor Industries coming. Billy told Holden that he’d love to keep him on, but that Holden would have to pick a side. Billy said Holden siding with his sister would be a mistake.

Vicki asked Kyle if there was trouble with Billy. He advised staying out of things. Meanwhile, Holden told Billy that he didn’t appreciate being put in the middle. Billy said once he was in charge with Chancellor that he could propel his future. Otherwise, he could end up with nothing. Billy dangled Holden someday running his own company someday under his nose.

Back at Jabot Cosmetics, Jack said that he’d only get involved if his father’s reputation was in danger. Jack asked Cane to stay away from his father’s name and reputation, or he would deal with Cane.
