That's Amore

Nikki surprised Victor with a romantic evening at the ranch. She wore a mask from Italy. Victor told Nikki that she was more beautiful than ever and that he adored her. "Ti amo," Nikki told Victor, which is Italian for "I love you." Victor wished he could take Nikki back to Italy. Nikki didn't care where they were as long as they were together.
Victor noted that he and Nikki were stronger than ever. They toasted to their happiness! Nikki gave Victor a gift from Venice; it was a book of love poems. Nikki pointed out that someone had handwritten the English translation next to every poem. Victor offered to read a poem to Nikki. She said that she'd love nothing more.
After Victor read poetry to Nikki, she noted that they always find their way back to each other. Victor promised to treasure the gift that Nikki gave him. Victor told Nikki that he knew she was thinking about Nicholas.
Nikki admitted that Nick was on her mind. She didn't want to distract from their happy night. Nikki said that Nick would need his family's help. Nikki wished that they could banish Matt Clark from their lives forever.
The Unwelcome Matt

At Crimson Lights, Sharon was shocked to see Matt Clark appear. She wanted to know why Matt came there to see him. Sharon wished Matt would find another coffee shop. Matt asked for a minute of her time. Sharon found it hard to believe that Matt cared. Matt said he knew everyone would find it hard to believe that Matt had blamed himself for his past actions.
Matt asked Sharon how Nick was doing. Sharon said that the loving Nick that she knew is completely lost and defeated because he can't beat his addiction. Matt apologized and asked if he could do anything. Sharon wanted Matt to get out of town if he felt so bad. "Why don't you just go away?" Sharon said.
Matt said that he had a job with Phylllis. Sharon questioned if Matt thought there was longevity to his dynamic with Phyllis. Matt said everyone hated him, and he doesn't blame them. Phyllis, however, seems to accept him. Matt feels accepted by Phyllis. He didn't want to lose that. Matt admitted that it was messed up. "I want a life here," Matt said.
Sharon said she could relate a little to Matt's description of himself; she confessed to doing things out of her character (when she was bipolar). Sharon said that she didn't deserve forgiveness. She shared that she was bipolar. Sharon shared that people forgave her. Sharon admitted that Matt was truly trying to change, and she could see that. She knew how hard it was to change. Matt said he felt he was where he needed to be.
Matt noted life would be better if he were to leave town. Sharon said that maybe what's holding Matt back is that he's looking for some form if absolution, but he can't get it because he's stuck. Matt got emotional and admitted that he was.
Matt admitted that he wanted everyone's forgiveness. He knew it was never going to happen, but he wanted it from Sharon and Nick, especially. Sharon suggested that Matt forgive himself and that she should move on. "Nah, that sounds like running away," Matt responded.
The Customer's Wrong

Matt said that he was an optimist. He's going to stay in Genoa City and earn their forgiveness. Sharon said that Matt needed to consider reality and to keep in mind the people in mind that he hurt and tried to kill. "There's still a lot of trauma for me and for Nick," Sharon said. Matt pointed out that Sienna and Noah left town because of him. He said he didn't mean to hurt anyone.
Sharon admitted that that appeared to be true, now. Matt said he's not going to stop trying to make amends. He asked Sharon to share with Nick how he felt. Then, Matt left. Sharon appeared greatly relieved when he left.
Hey, Abbott!

At Jabot, Jack and Kyle got caught up over Billy's latest move. Jack said that Billy has had lawyers sending out notices related to the Abbotts taking over Chancellor Industries. Jack pointed out that either Billy or Lily was going to come out a loser in this. Kyle asked Jack if he'd talked to Jill; Jack said he wasn't sure about her health, so he didn't want to go to her if she wasn't well. Kyle said it'd be helpful to find out if she knew about the loan agreement. Kyle advised his father to step back and let Billy succeed or implode on his own.
Jack told Kyle that Billy doesn't learn from his mistakes. Kyle recounted all that his father had been through -- being kidnapped, stabbed. Jack said that he would protect John Abbott's name at all costs.
Champagne Dreams, Caviar Wishes

At the Genoa City Athletic Club, Audra wondered if Billy's drinking champagne was in celebration of Sally coming home soon. He shared with Audra that Coco's surgery was successful and she'd be out of the hospital soon.
Billy shared with Aurdra that he was finally coming into his own, admitting that in the past he'd been his own worst enemy. Audra said she'd been there. Billy added that he has everything he wanted. He invited an inquiring Audra to join him in his celebration.
Billy offered to order a split of champagne, but she wanted to know what they were celebrating. Billy said his news was connected to Chancellor Industries. He added that he was about to get his hands on a company that he felt deeply connected to; he said the Abbotts owned Chancellor Industries and he'd be running it next week.
Audra wondered if it was legit. Billy said that they didn't need to get into details. She wanted answers. "I won," Billy said. That was his answer. Audra wondered what Sally thought about all this. Billy said that Sally will understand.
Audra pointed out that Chanellor Industries has been a big issue between Billy and Sally in the past. Audra wondered about Billy's family and if they understood what he was doing. Billy told Audra that she was free to go sit elsewhere. She ordered a split of champagne. Audra said she was trying to be Billy's friend -- for Sally's sake.
Audra advised Billy to let go of his trust issues with her. Billy pointed out that Audra's reputation wasn't stellar in business. Audra countered that she wanted to live up to Sally's trust in the same way that Billy wanted to show his naysayers.
Billy noted Audra had some strong attributes in business and noted that she was a strong friend to Sally. He said that's the type of person she needed. Billy thanked Audra for joining him. They agreed that they were good with each other. Billy said that they were getting there in terms of being friends.
Audra and Billy toasted to his success, friendship, one less doubter, and one less hater. Sally walked into the GCAC as the two raised their glasses.
High Society

Cane and Lily met at Society. Lily said that Amanda and the attorneys aren't hopeful about them holding onto the company if Billy's document was real. Cane said that he met with the Abbotts and that Billy was determined. Lily said that it was up to them to fight Billy.
Cane told Lily that Billy told him that if he helped Billy get Chancellor Industries, then Billy would give Cane the same job that Cane gave him. Can told Lily he was on her side. Lily said they will exploit Billy's weaknesses if they have to. Cane offered to do the dirty work. Lily said that wouldn't be necessary.
She couldn't believe Billy was going to this extreme. Cane wondered if Billy faked the documents, but Lily didn't think so. Cane said that the Abbotts would stand behind Billy if they went after John's reputation. Lily vowed to fight!
Cane said he was happy to be on Lily's side. Lily shrugged that if Billy wanted to go down this path, fine. But, she is her mother and her father's (the late Dru and Neil) daughter. If he wants to mess with her, he'd regret it. Cane recalled Lily storming the soccer field when a coach made the wrong call on Mattie and Charlie, their kids. Lily said that she'd do that again.
Just then, Kyle and Jack walked into Society. They approached Lily and Cane. Jack apologized for what they were going through. "Not sorry enough to stop him, apparently," Lily simply stated. Jack said that he wanted to de-escalate things; he didn't want to push Billy into fighting harder. Lily announced that she and Cane would not be backing down.
