The Young and the Restless Recap, August 3, 2026: Noah Announces That He and Sienna Are Moving Back to Los Angeles

On the Monday, August 3, 2026, episode of The Young and the Restless, Mariah returned home, Noah and Sienna planned to leave town, and Nick struggled in rehab.

What happened on The Young and the Restless

At the Athletic Club, Victoria ran into Kyle and excitedly shared that Nikki had gotten her vision back. Kyle reported that his father was doing better and that Jack and Diane had reunited. Victoria hoped her parents were also on the road to reconciliation, and she looked forward to both of their families getting to the other side of the nightmare. Kyle wasn’t ready to celebrate yet.

Kyle grumbled that he felt no relief, knowing Victor had escaped his crimes unscathed. Victoria suggested that their families call a ceasefire because no one ever won the war between them. Kyle believed the Abbotts had to be prepared for the next time Victor “invented a grievance,” and he pledged not to let Victor get away with it. Victoria warned that anything Kyle did out of vengeance would only end up hurting him.

Victoria predicted that revenge would give Kyle satisfaction for a minute, but then it would turn into an endless cycle of an eye for an eye that would cause everyone to suffer. Victoria urged Kyle to forgive and move on, noting that they both wanted to see their parents live long, happy lives together. She shared that her biggest fear was that if Kyle started a war, it would be in Victor’s nature to retaliate, and it might be the final straw for Victor and Nikki’s marriage.

Kyle swore he didn’t want to hurt any of the Newmans other than Victor, but Victoria cautioned that he couldn’t pick and choose who suffered collateral damage on both sides. Victoria hoped for the sake of both families that Kyle wouldn’t let his anger cause more damage, but Kyle admitted he couldn’t let his rage go.

Victoria insisted that Victor had changed after losing his life’s work and the partner he cared about more than anything in the world, and he knew what his vendetta had cost him. Victoria anticipated that one day, she and Kyle would both find themselves watching their parental heroes growing older and more vulnerable. Victoria imagined that she and Kyle would take over running things themselves and end the war their fathers had started.

At the new Newman ranch, Victor and Nikki returned after taking a walk. She marveled that she’d never take looking at the flowers and watching the horses for granted again. Nikki felt like a dark cloud had been lifted, but she worried that Nick had clearly been struggling when they’d visited him in rehab that morning.

Victor wrapped up a business call and bemoaned that it wasn’t easy to rebuild what Phyllis had destroyed. Victor asked how Nikki felt about going back to work without Chancellor, and he was shocked when she admitted she was glad he’d given the company back to Lily because it was what Katherine would have wanted. Nikki proclaimed that she had everything she wanted right there. Nikki said she finally understood why her husband had given Matt and Phyllis a second chance after they’d saved Nick’s life, and she was determined to make her remaining years with Victor the best of their lives.

Nikki proposed that she and Victor get away for a little while, but he protested that they’d just gotten the company back. Nikki noted that they had talented children to look after everything in their absence, and she suggested they go to Venice to get a new start. Later, Victor and Nikki informed Victoria that they were going on a trip to Italy. Victoria exclaimed that it was a new beginning for all of them.

Revenge or Forgiveness?

As Jack and Diane strolled toward the Chancellor Park Café, he answered a call from Detective Burrow and learned that Dr. Markham had been arrested at the summer rental property that Martin had told Traci about.

Jack also informed Diane that Patty had been transferred to a maximum-security psychiatric ward while awaiting trial. Jack and Diane basked in the feeling of freedom after almost losing one another – all because of one man.

Jack recognized that going after Victor would be a full-time job that would consume most of their time and stamina, and he thought they had to be realistic. Diane admitted that she’d considered ways to get back at Victor, but she thought they should do nothing because she and Jack were both still recovering. She preferred to focus on enjoying their lives together instead of spending every waking moment thinking of ways to make Victor suffer.

Jack and Diane agreed to put any ideas for revenge on hold. As they playfully made plans for the rest of the afternoon, Kyle joined them and announced that it was time to talk about how to hit back at Victor – hard.

Say Hello, Wave Goodbye

At Crimson Lights, someone placed their hands over Sharon’s eyes from behind. Sharon turned around and was thrilled to see Mariah. Mariah explained that she’d been released by court order that morning after her doctors had declared her fit to reenter society. Mariah announced that she’d moved back in with Tessa and Aria, who had welcomed her with open arms. Mariah was willing to do whatever it took to win back their love and trust.

Mariah imagined Christine would let Abby and Devon know about her release, and she dreaded their reaction. Sharon assured Mariah that her family was there to support her. Noah welcomed Mariah home and invited her to check out his new club. They discussed Matt’s return to town and how Matt had forced drugs on Nick.

Noah considered it good timing that Mariah was back, since he had news – he and Sienna were going back to L.A. for a little while to get away from Matt. Noah was surprised when she declared it was a good idea for him to go. Noah figured that by the time he returned to Genoa City, Matt would be gone, and Nick would be back to his old self.

Not-So-Sweet Dreams

At a rehabilitation facility, Nick called out in his sleep, warning Noah and Sharon to be careful because “he’s coming.” Nick dreamed that he burst into Crimson Lights, looking for Noah to protect him. Nick found drugs on a table and willed himself not to take them, but he caved in and dumped the contents down his throat. He heard a scream and saw Sharon standing over Noah’s lifeless body. Sharon blasted Nick for not being there to protect them from Matt, and she growled that she hated Nick. Nick awakened with a start.

Nick muttered that he never should have checked himself in, and he yelled for someone to let him out. Nick pondered calling Sharon, but decided he couldn’t do that to her. He told himself that Noah and Sharon were fine, and he was in no shape to help even if they weren’t. Nick pledged to be strong and fight to be there for them.
