Here's your recap for The Young and the Restless episode, Wednesday, August 5, 2026, as Victor and Nikki recommitted their lives together, surrounded by family and friends.
Cheers to the Future

Cane and Matt Clark shared a drink at the GCAC bar. Matt shared that he had no plan to go after Victor, stating that he had no plans to work with him. Matt confirmed Cane's theory that Victor must be furious. He added that he was working with Phyllis at Arabesque, Cane's old company. He wanted to know if Cane was upset that Phyllis had Cane's old company.
Matt asked Cane what he'd done and cautioned him that he already knew a little of it, but noted that it didn't seem that bad. Cane recounted his big party in Nice, France, last year, and that people died. Matt asked if Cane had killed anyone. He said no. He wanted to steal from the power players of Genoa City. Matt said that there was a big difference between thinking about doing something and doing it.
Matt confirmed that Victor had dirt on him, things that Cane never even thought of doing. Cane said some will never forgive him for things that he'd done. Cane asked Matt what he'd done. Matt said he terrorized Nick and Sharon, and he almost killed his wife. Cane couldn't help but look at Matt differently.
Cane said that Matt must have gotten his memories back. Matt said it did, but it was like watching a horror movie. "I don't know," Matt said when Cane asked if he was no longer that Matt. Matt hoped so. Matt said that he learned that if you hurt people badly enough, then there may not be room for forgiveness.
Cane said he can see pain and regret in Matt's eyes. Matt appreciated the non-judgment. Cane said it was a long shot to get Victor's pardon. Can Matt live without that? Matt said that Victor might be having him followed now. Cane asked Matt why he was staying in Genoa City. Matt said it was because of Phyllis. Cane suggested to Matt that he not get comfortable with Phyllis's support. It may feel like all the light in the world shining on him, but it's hell on earth when that changes.
Your Move

At Billy and Sally's, Adam blasted Sally over Billy having gloated to Victor that Adam bought Newman Media assets. Sally agreed that Billy shouldn't have done that, but pointed out she wasn't to blame, as Victoria was the one who told Billy about the deal between Adam and Sally. Sally said that Adam made it look like they'd gone behind Billy's back.
Adam said that he crafted the deal to protect her, but Billy didn't by going to Victor and blabbing all to him. Adam said Victor has been texting him nonstop. He's not sure he can protect Sally from what Victor might be planning. Adam urged Sally to rein Billy in while he did damage control.
Sally apologized for telling Billy about the deal because it put everyone in a bad spot. But it's done. Adam said that he was sorry that he had bothered her. Adam smelled peanut butter and sauerkraut. Sally said she made herself something to eat. Adam asked how the baby was. She said the baby was good. Then, Billy entered and demanded to know what Adam was doing in his house.
Adam said that he was finalizing some Newman Media business with Sally. Billy said that Adam showed up to get on Sally's case over Victor being mad. He added that Spectra Charles was going to run Newman Media into the ground. Billy said that Adam would have to answer to him the next time he came over. Sally said this wasn't about Adam -- it was about Billy!
Sally asked Billy why he had to blab to Victor about her deal with Adam. Billy shrugged that he was telling the truth. He added that it felt good to stick it to Victor. Sally said that she told Billy that the financial arrangement of the deal was supposed to be a secret. Billy said that he didn't seek Victor out, but it just kind of happened. Victor goaded him into it. Sally sarcastically asked how -- by saying hi? By ignoring Billy? It didn't take much to trigger Billy into action.
Billy wasn't going to apologize for having Victor's back. She said that it wasn't having her back by going after Victor. Sally marveled that Billy didn't entertain the repercussions of his talk with Victor. He countered that the deal was done. "Victor is furious!" Sally stated. She was hoping to avoid conflict with Victor, and, now, thanks to Billy, that might not be possible.
Billy apologized. "I should have kept my mouth shut," he said. Sally, her back to Billy, said that she was going to need more than an apology. "Flowers? A foot rub?" he suggested. She told him that this wasn't funny. Billy said he knew it wasn't. He asked her what she wanted him to do. Sally didn't know. She told Billy that he had lit a fuse, and he had better find a way to put it out.
Marry Me

At the ranch, Nikki was glad that she could not only see but also that she could see the depth of her love for Victor with clarity. Victor smiled as he reached into his pocket and took out Nikki's ring that she'd discarded while she and Victor were at odds. He placed it on her finger. They looked at each other lovingly. He said that he wished that Nikki would marry him again. Nikki said she would, a thousand times over.
On cue, Michael, Abby, Claire, and Victoria entered the room. They weren't alone either. Nicholas was with them, on a pass from rehab. Nikki embraced Nick, who assured his mother that he wasn't going to jeopardize his work at rehab. Michael said that he could officiate the wedding, but Nikki said there was no way they were getting married. Not a chance.
Nikki said that she couldn't get married dressed like she was. Victor told Nikki to go up to her room, where she'd find something beautiful to wear. Vicki swore her mom would love it. Nikki and Vicki left to get ready.
Michael poured Abby and Claire some champagne. Victor thanked Nick for coming. He said he was taking it one day at a time. Nick asked where Adam was. Victor said that they had a falling out, and Adam wasn't returning texts. Victor noted that Nick must be sad that Noah was gone.
Nick said he loved having Noah around and hanging out with him. He thought his son staying in Genoa City was permanent. Victor said that he'd be back. Nick said that he was focusing on his parents' iconic love.
Michael complimented Victor on the quality of the alcohol in the Newman house. Then, Nikki entered wearing a beautiful blue gown. Victor told his bride that she looked beautiful.
Where Everybody Knows Your Name

Adam came upon Matt and Cane at the GCAC bar. He revealed to Matt that Cane was not an old friend from Kansas. Adam listed off the heinous crimes that Matt had committed. Cane said he knew it all. Adam told Matt his deal to be a tool for the Newmans was off the table. Adam said that you're either a useful tool to the Newmans or an enemy -- he should know.
Adam suggested that Matt leave town. Adam promised Matt that Victor's threats were real. Matt claimed not to be the same man, but in the same breath said that he knew what he was capable of doing -- in self-defense, of course. He added that he was staying in town and wanted to be left alone. Matt added that he'd hate it if they forced him to do something that they'd all regret.
I Do, Redux

Michael began the ceremony at the ranch. He half-joked that he considered having the bride and the groom sign a contract that they'd never have to have a ceremony like this again! Michael went on to say they were there to watch this gorgeous woman marry the luckiest guy on the planet. Michael asked Victor if he'd like to start. Victor recalled how he and Nikki were tested these last several months.
Victor said that all he wanted was to live with her the rest of her life. Nikki referred to a joke that she had made that they were both stubborn. Nikki said that that wasn't likely to change. She hastened to add that Victor was her world and she didn't want to not be by his side ever again.
Michael invited Victor to place the wedding ring on Nikki's hand. "By the power vested in me by the state of Wisconsin -- and Victor's insistence -- you may kiss the bride," Michael said. Victor and Nikki kissed.
A Heartfelt Reception

Michael, Abby, Nick, Victoria, and Claire applauded as Victor and Nikki finished the ceremony. Abby said that she'd hoped her marriage to Devon could be as inspiring as Victor and Nikki's has been and continues to be. Claire thanked Victor and Nikki for welcoming her into the family. That showed her what real love was. Claire said that Victor and Nikki have given her faith as to what true love is.
Michael said that Victor and Nikki know more about the mysteries of love than anyone else present could know. Vicki said she'd hoped for this day. Then, Nick spoke. He said there are no two people on this earth that he loves and respects more. Nick said that seeing his parents together was giving him much-needed peace. He added that Victor and Nikki's story is a reminder that true love can conquer all!
