Keep Holding On
At Chancellor Park Cafe, Claire credited Holden's mom, Stephanie, for helping Nikki get her sight back as she found the right doctor to perform the surgery. Claire recapped for Holden that Victor and Nikki had a vow renewal ceremony. She said seeing them together again was a reminder that love can be powerful. Holden called Claire a believer and a romantic, confiding that he was one, too.
Holden said that he believed in commitment and romance. He believed most people wanted that. Holden added that maybe the reason he was a serial dater is that he had been looking for something and didn't find it. Holden joked that people wanted the table, but there was no one around.
Holden brought Claire back to his room at the GCAC, which Cane rents to him at a discounted rate. Claire said that she likes living where she does, but if she had her own place, then she could do whatever she wanted. Holden noted that hotel staff waving to him isn't like having a real family. Holden said that hotels aren't real life. Claire and Holden kissed. He picked her up and carried her to bed. They continued to make out.
Claire and Holden chatted after they made love. Then, there was a knock at the door. It was Cane. Holden told his boss that he'd be downstairs in a few minutes. Cane smiled. At the bar, Cane asked Holden to keep an eye on Billy as he wasn't sure what he was up to. Cane said that they both want to protect Chancellor for Lily's sake. Holden asked Cane why he kept Billy around if he couldn't trust him.
A New Gig
Danny brought Cricket to The Shadow Room. He informed her that he was the new man in charge of the place while Sienna and Noah were in Los Angeles. Danny said he was going to manage The Shadow Room. "Isn't it great?" he said. Danny noted that this would be better than touring. Now, he could wake up next to Cricket and not in a hotel room while on tour.
Danny asked Cricket if she was a little upset with him, as this was the first she was hearing of Danny's new venture. Cricket said that she wasn't mad. Danny said that he'd keep making music. Danny said he needed to be near his family. Cricket and Danny kissed, celebrating his new job. Then, Daniel entered, wondering why he'd been summoned there.
Daniel was surprised that his father could move home and stay in one place. Cricket said that Danny was very determined. Daniel said, "More power to you." He said that Danny could come visit him and Lucy and make his special sauce. Daniel quipped that Lucy gets sick of his face. Daniel and Dann hugged. Cricket wondered when father and son were in the same town. Danny said he had an idea for Daniel. He said he wanted to bring everyone together and to make up for lost time. Cricket asked Danny if he'd bought a compound (like Graceland). Daniel said he wanted a compound.
Danny asked Daniel where he was with his music. He said that it wasn't going anywhere right now, noting that Tessa wasn't around. Danny asked Daniel to come work with him at The Shadow Room.
Coffee Talk
Chelsea met Adam at Crimson Lights. She wondered if he was going to snap out of his mood. Adam shared that Victor and Nikki were on their way to Italy for a second -- or fourth -- honeymoon. Chelsea wished they'd been there. Adam said he wasn't there because of the Newman Media deal behind his back. Adam let Chelsea know that Sally told Billy, and then Billy told Victor about the deal.
Chelsea said Victor was in Italy romancing Nikki, so he shouldn't worry. Adam remarked that they weren't moving there. He'd have to pay later. Chelsea hoped that Adam wasn't going after Spectra Charles. Adam said no. He was grateful to have his family and his company back. He quipped that Sally was having Billy's baby so she'd be stuck with him forever. Adam noted that Billy screwed him over every step of the way, and he'd make him regret that.
Adam admitted that he could understand Sally telling Billy about the deal. But he still saw Billy as a hot-headed jerk. Adam said he was going to shine a light on the two failures (Adam and Billy) that will drive Chancellor Industries into the ground, hoping that Lily will cut them loose.
Adam noted that Arabesque was dead and buried in record time, so Cane doesn't have a great track record with running companies. He called Billy a moron for trusting Phyllis and added that it was a mistake to trust Billy.
Chelsea suggested focusing on Newman Media instead of going after Billy. Adam said that it won't take long before Billy crashes and burns. Chelsea said that they shouldn't instigate Billy's downfall. She asked if this was about Victor or Billy? Adam asked if that was a trick question. Chelsea asked why Adam cared about making Billy look bad.
Adam said that Cane's hiring of Billy showed bad judgment and, therefore, was news that needed to be reported. Chelsea urged Adam to let it go. Chelsea said she wasn't going to help Adam take Billy down.
Secrets Unearthed
Cane showed up at Billy's place. Billy had tons of files and paperwork from Chancellor Industries. He wanted to find the secret that Jill referred to. Cane wondered how Billy was going to do the job that Cane had hired him to do, prepare for a wedding and a baby, and find this supposed secret that he believed Jill mentioned.
Cane said that Billy needed to believe there was a reason Jill didn't give Billy Chancellor Industries to run. Cane said that Jill called him after their last blowout. "Which one?" quipped Billy. Cane suggested to Billy that he forgive Jill and move on. Cane didn't think going through old files was a good idea. Billy said that he had already found the first clue and that Cane would change his mind.
Billy asked Cane what he knew about Chancellor Industries' history, adding that the company had almost gone bankrupt before Katherine took over. Then, a cash flow saved it. Cane didn't see the problem. Billy said Jill doesn't want him to know what went down.
"You're killing me," a frustrated Cane told Billy about his obsession with finding out some secret about Chancellor Industries. Cane pointed out that the secret could hurt the company. Billy said they had to find out what it was first. Cane ordered Billy to let it go, or otherwise, he'd have to rethink having him at Chancellor.
Mixed Doubles
Adam ran into Sally at Society. She thanked Adam for not letting things with Billy spiral. Adam did say that screwing Victor over came first with Billy. Adam asked Sally why she was mad at him. She appreciated the deal he had made with her, but Sally asked Adam to stay away from Billy so that he could focus on his new job.
Meanwhile, Chelsea visited Billy at his house. She asked Billy if he'd done anything to throw their lives into turmoil. She noted that Adam had a right to go after Billy. Billy wondered if Adam was going to do that. "What do you think?" Chelsea shot back.

Chelsea said that Adam didn't know that she was there. She's looked at the situation from all perspectives. Chelsea wanted it to stop. Chelsea likened Adam and Billy to Victor and Jack. She asked him why he said anything to Victor? Billy said that it's nice to punch back at Victor every once in a while.
Billy said that he wanted to make it clear to Victor that he couldn't rule by intimidation. Chelsea accused Billy of wanting to drive a wedge between Adam and Victor. Billy called Adam "poison" and urged her to leave him.
